Biography

Shirin Johari is an advertising creative and a visual artist working with TBWA Mumbai as a Creative Director. For the past nine years, she has been innovating in advertising, graphic design, installations, typography and performances. Along the way, she has won numerous national and international awards for her work, the most recent being a Cannes Design Gold for creating The Hinglish Project. She has also won at One Show, LIA, Asia Pacific, Spikes Asia, The Work and at Young Guns, and was named The Young Achiever’s Creative Person of the Year in 2008. She was featured as one of Impact magazines Top 30-Under 30 2013 media personalities of advertising and marketing in India. Her work has been featured in the Triennale Design Museum in Milan and she has been a guest speaker at the Mumbai chapter of Creative Beta Mornings. She has been featured live on a radio talk show and has been profiled in numerous publications. Shirin believes that creative work should either solve a problem, enlighten, change social perceptions or simply entertain. She aims at creating work that can serve as a catalyst for positive change in society.
