Capture the magic of learning for Pearson

Creators Selected On
September 15, 2015
THE BRIEF
Leading learning company Pearson, along with creative agency Mother London, design partner Together and their guest judge Rankin, invite photographers from all over the world to submit images that capture the essence and emotion of education and learning.

Learning isn’t a destination. It doesn’t start and stop at the classroom door. It is a magnificent road of discovery, mastery, challenge, inspiration, curiosity, serendipity, mistakes and wonder.

The judging panel is looking for submissions that capture the "magic of learning" through striking and memorable imagery with a human presence, that creates an emotional connection with the viewer.

Photographers can submit up to 10 images and will be awarded $500 for each photograph chosen for Pearson’s official photo library; and have their work credited and showcased across Pearson’s official channels. A number of select photographers will also have the potential to continue to work on paid projects for Pearson in the future.

This is your opportunity to capture the power and magic of learning through your photography. We hope you’re inspired to submit your work today.
what the judges are looking for
All images should include a human presence but that can be interpreted in many ways and does not need to include a full body shot. Whether it's a hand reaching out as someone feels their way on a rock climbing adventure pushing their own personal boundaries or a teenager showing their grandparent how to use the internet for the first time, make sure to include a "human" presence in your submissions.

All photographs should use full color and feel optimistic and engaging. Most importantly, they should always put the learner at the centre.
