THE BRIEF
In 2014, Boxfresh celebrate their 25th anniversary. To mark the year, they are supporting and hosting a series of events and are looking for a talented event photographer to capture the action and receive a full year’s paid work placement at Boxfresh.
The brief is simple; submit an image that communicates Boxfresh’s passion for youth culture, fashion, art and music. Take inspiration from the brand itself - Boxfresh aims to seek out trends and movements before they reach the surface, tapping into local and global scenes to connect with what’s current, credible and exciting for young people, in fashion, style, art and music.
Additionally, be sure to upload a minimum of five further images in the same theme to your Talenthouse portfolio. Tell us about your selection of photos, the camera you used and why you think your pictures tell the Boxfresh story. For further insipration click here.

ABOUT BOXFRESH 25
To celebrate this milestone year, Boxfresh are putting on 25 incredible events. These will range from parties, to fashion shows, to raves, to art exhibitions, to TV performances and more. Each event will be different, but each will be inspired by the creativity and innovation that Boxfresh is synonymous with, and involve a huge and diverse range of passionate creators, collaborators and spectators.

THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY
An expert panel of judges will invite five photographers to a final round interview.
- A year's paid placement at Boxfresh, earning £16,000 per annum as the Official Boxfresh 25 Photographer
THE COMMUNITY CHOICE
The artist as selected by the community and the judges will receive*:
- £500
- Promotion across Talenthouse and Boxfresh's social channels
*The host will select from the top 10% of the highest voted submissions.
Meet the judges
EWEN SPENCER
British photographer Ewen Spencer, world renowned for documenting sub cultures and youth movements. Working for style, music and culture magazines such as, The Face and Sleazenation, Ewen has defined himself as one of the leading social documentarians in the UK, as well as making films for the likes of Massive Attack and The Streets.
CHERYL NEWMAN
Cheryl Newman, the photographic director at the award winning ‘Telegraph on Saturday’ magazine. One of the leading broadsheet magazines in the UK; the title is known for its serious support of photography and showcasing some of the greatest photographers working today.
JADE GARROW
Jade Garrow, Head of Global Marketing at Boxfresh. Jade will ensure the entries epitomize the heartland of the brand and exactly what Boxfresh stands for.
CREATIVE INVITE GUIDELINES
- View the job description of the paid work placement at Boxfresh here
- Photographs must be submitted in JPEG or PNG (5MB Max)
- Your additional 5 photos/images need to be in an album marked 'Boxfresh 25' in your Talenthouse portfolio
- All photographers are encouraged to complete their portfolio
- Don't forget to include the hashtag #OneShot when sharing on social media
- Photographers must be available for interview in London between Tuesday March 4, 2014 - Tuesday March 11, 2014. Travel will not be included
- Photographers must be available to accept the placement in London immediately after announcement on 14th March. This is a salaried position and travel will not be included
- To enter, once you have completed your work, use the upload tool below to submit and ensure you include a written summary
- Photography submitted must be original (meaning not using third party copyright materials) but can be pre-existing or created especially for this opportunity
- The selected photographer must be available to attend Boxfresh events
- Inappropriate and harmful submissions will be removed

HOW BOXFRESH WILL CHOOSE
Boxfresh and a panel of judges will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.
The community can support their favorite submissions through social voting via Facebook and Twitter. The host will also select an artist from the top 10% of the highest voted submissions.
