Calling all hip-hop, rap and R&B musicians from Detroit!

REVOLT TV and McDonald’s are teaming up to bring The Local Love Tour to your community this summer. They want to show lovin’ to local artists across America. The very best urban talent across America will have the chance to hit the stage, as the tour will hit five cities across the U.S.

Local artists from Detroit, MI are invited to submit their best work in video form for the chance to perform and be interviewed by REVOLT talent at a taping in Detroit. The local event will be broadcasted nationally throughout REVOLT's television, online and social media networks.

Two musicians or acts from Detroit, as selected by REVOLT TV and their panel of judges, will each:
  • Perform at the Local Love Tour during a REVOLT taping on June 19, 2015*
  • Be interviewed and have this footage, as well as clips from the performance, aired on REVOLT TV
*Due to changes to the venue and location for the Detroit Local Love Tour, the performance will no longer take place at The Breakfast Club in Detroit.

dj damage
DJ Damage (formerly Abdul Q.) is the powerhouse TV personality and Producer on Revolt TV. Before REVOLT TV, DJ Damage held previous titles as DJ/Radio Personality of Philly’s Hot 107.9 and an On-Air Correspondent of BET’s 106 & Park.

DJ Damage is currently the on air DJ/ Radio Personality for Los Angeles Real 92.3 and the exclusive voice of the “Loud” station on DJ Skee’s premiere Dash Radio App. DJ Damage has had the pleasure of interviewing some of the entertainment industry’s most celebrated figures such as Nas, Afrojack, Charlie XcX, Wiz Khalifa, Birds of Tokyo, American Authors, Galantis, Floyd Mayweather, Usher, MIA, Dillon Francis and Mac Miller.
hannah rad
Hannah Rad is a New York City-based music presenter, DJ and on-air personality. Rad can currently be seen on REVOLT TV, Sean Combs‘ 24/7 multi-platform music television channel. Hannah serves as producer and host of Revolt’s “LVTR: Next Level Electronic Music” show.

Previously, Hannah presented Belly of the Beast, a weekly radio show on EVR.com, and was instrumental in breaking artists like Disclosure, Icona Pop, Sky Ferreira and more. She has appeared on various BBC Radio 1 programs and spun events for BEATS by Dre, Red Bull, Topshop and at Ultra Music Festival.
ken glauber
Ken Glauber is REVOLT TV's Coordinator of Music Programming, having started at the company as an executive assistant. A music producer and writer himself, he has a keen ear for the undiscovered and an unmatched passion for the music he listens to, dabbling in every genre he can, as evidenced by his work for world music label Luaka Bop Records, and UK-based electronic label Warp Records. Growing up in New York and later relocating to LA, he takes pride in living in two of music's meccas. He claims that he can determine the tempo of any given song by rapping Nas' "It Ain't Hard To Tell" over it.
creative invite guidelines
  • This opportunity is open to U.S. residents of Detroit, MI ages 18 and older only. Void where prohibited. Proof will be required if selected.
  • Musicians must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should they be selected.
  • Musicians must submit their video to YouTube or Vimeo then paste the video URL via the "Participate" tab on Talenthouse. Please bear in mind YouTube adds 1 second onto the length of a video when uploading.
  • Videos submitted must be original (meaning not using third party copyright materials) but can be pre-existing or created especially for this opportunity.
  • Videos must be submitted in 1080 HD video format.
  • Musicians are recommended to keep their videos under 2 minutes, but can keep them longer if, for instance, a music video is being submitted.
  • Musicians retain ownership of their work, however, REVOLT TV and McDonald's have marketing rights to use all submissions across their social media channels and online platforms with reference to the Creative Invite for up to one year. Artists will be credited by name.
  • Selected Artists will be required to sign an agreement with REVOLT TV and McDonald's regarding their performance at the Local Love Tour. Selected Artists agree that their performance at the festivals will be filmed and distributed by REVOLT TV and McDonald's.
  • All submissions will feature as part of a global gallery.
  • Inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions, as well as submissions that do not fit the brief or guidelines, will be removed.
  • No purchase necessary to enter.
how revolt tv will choose
REVOLT TV and their panel of judges will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.
