Exhibit your art or photography at Parliament
It's no secret that many young people find politics boring and it's no secret that we want to change that, starting by redecorating your Parliament your way! Are you aged 14-24 and live in the UK? Then here's your chance to have your artwork or photography included in a special exhibition at one of the UK's most famous buildings - the Houses of Parliament.
All you have to do is submit a piece of artwork or photography inspired by Britain this year. Whether it's the London Olympic and Paralympic games, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, Adele winning 6 Grammy awards, a famous UK landmark or a combination of all the above - what do you feel is special about being British this year?
42 winners overall will be selected for this special exhibition at The Houses of Parliament in December this year: 28 winners chosen by the guest judges, famous portrait artist Basia Hamilton and photographer Rama Knight and 14 artists/photographers with the highest amount of public votes.
Basia and Rama will choose 28 winners whose artwork will be displayed at this one-off exhibition.
Basia will choose a selection of winners to attend a fantastic workshop session at her studio in Mayfair, London.*
Rama will also choose a winner to join him on location - a brilliant opportunity to assist a professional photographer.*
*Please note: selected winners will be responsible for their own travel arrangements.
All the above winning artists/photographers will receive a certificate from Bite the Ballot and the Olympic 2012 Inspire committee as well as being featured across the media involved with this exciting project.
