Winner Announced On
November 15, 2012
THE BRIEF

It's no secret that many young people find politics boring and it's no secret that we want to change that, starting by redecorating your Parliament your way! Are you aged 14-24 and live in the UK? Then here's your chance to have your artwork or photography included in a special exhibition at one of the UK's most famous buildings - the Houses of Parliament.

All you have to do is submit a piece of artwork or photography inspired by Britain this year. Whether it's the London Olympic and Paralympic games, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, Adele winning 6 Grammy awards, a famous UK landmark or a combination of all the above - what do you feel is special about being British this year?

42 winners overall will be selected for this special exhibition at The Houses of Parliament in December this year: 28 winners chosen by the guest judges, famous portrait artist Basia Hamilton and photographer Rama Knight and 14 artists/photographers with the highest amount of public votes.

"Redecorate and rebrand British politics by showing your 'Inspired Impressions' within Parliament. A chance for youth creativity and flair to brighten up the atmosphere and remind the decision makers that the future generations have a creative role to play within democracy."

- Michael Sani, Bite the Ballot

"Inspired Impressions is encouraging young people across the UK to fulfil their potential. I am proud that we are delivering our vision to use the power of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to boost participation in creative challenges like this."
