Invent the sonic logo for iHeartRadio

THE BRIEF
Calling all musical artists, composers and producers! iHeartRadio is looking for a new sonic logo that is iconic of the iHeartRadio brand, and they want YOU to create it!

Simply put, sonic logos are "logos for the ear." They are small memorable sounds that are played in a company’s advertising to enhance their brand name recognition. From the classic audio signatures of NBC and Intel to the jingle for State Farm Insurance, these forms of advertising have trained our brains to associate these simple yet instantly recognizable sounds with their respective brands.

It could be a few notes, a sound effect, or even the way iHeartRadio is said. Just make sure your submission is no longer than 10 seconds. iHeartRadio is looking for a sound that's fun, creative, and most importantly, representative of the iHeartRadio name.

  • Additionally, the selected artist may have their audio track featured in future advertising for iHeartRadio

Meet the Judges
CHRIS WILLIAMS – SVP PROGRAMMING
Chris Williams was named SVP of iHeartRadio Programming in November 2013. As such, he oversees all digital content programming, curation, marketing and editorial strategies for iHeartMedia's industry leading digital radio platform, iHeartRadio. Williams was an integral part of the team that launched the Premium Choice (PC) network for iHeartMedia in 2009, making successful on-air talent and high-quality programming more broadly available to local stations across the country. He also focuses on identifying new and strategic programming opportunities for iHeartRadio.

Rich McLaughlin – VP Programming
Rich McLaughlin has 15 years of proven experience in programming and content across broadcast, mobile, web and social media properties. Currently he oversees all audio programming at iHeartRadio with an emphasis on managing content strategy, growing curation resources, and supporting sales initiatives and fulfillment.
RickyRoo – Creative Director
RickyRoo has more than 20 years of industry experience as a Creative Director. Throughout his career he has worked in creative and on-air departments at multiple radio groups. He joined iHeartMedia in 2013, where he currently oversees audio brand imaging for the iHeartRadio Network.
CREATIVE INVITE GUIDELINES
  • This opportunity is open to global residents.
  • The audio signature should be no longer than 10 seconds.
  • Submitted tracks must be completely original.
  • Artists must submit their audio signature via SoundCloud.
  • Submitting artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address so if chosen they can be easily contacted.
  • Submitting artists should retain the higher quality version of their audio signature which will be sent to iHeartRadio should they be selected.
  • Participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.
  • All submissions will feature as part of a global gallery with public voting on Facebook and Twitter.
  • Selected Artists must respond to Talenthouse within 7 days of receiving the notification email or else will forfeit all incentives.
  • Talenthouse reserves the right to disqualify artists who we believe are cheating the voting system as this is against the spirit of the Creative Invite.
  • Inappropriate or harmful submissions that do not follow the guidelines will be removed.
  • No purchase necessary.

HOW iheartradio WILL CHOOSE
iHeartRadio will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules. Their selection will be independent of social votes.

The Talenthouse community and supporters of entrants, whether on Talenthouse or not, can vote for their favorite submissions during voting week via Facebook and Twitter. The artist with the largest public support will be chosen as the Highest Voted.
