the brief
Global production studio Dave Stewart Entertainment (DSE) and SB.TV are offering film and video directors across the world the opportunity to get their break in the music video making business.

Hollie Stephenson, a 16 year old singer/songwriter from London, releases her debut album this year and needs a new official music video.

Submit a picture storyboard (JPG) and written treatment for Hollie's track 'Pointless Rebellion'. Use the lyrics and lyric video below for inspiration. Update your Talenthouse profile with links to your existing film work.

One video director will be selected by DSE and Jamal Edwards MBE of SB.TV to develop their concept into a final masterpiece. They will have regular access to the DSE team for their creative sessions, editing advice and footage of Hollie where needed. The selected video director will also be represented by DSE, have their video premiered by SB.TV and receive $5,000.
"This music video project presents a great opportunity for video directors to show their skills, use their creative imagination and break into the business. Necessity is the mother of invention and we are looking for inventive music video ideas. What is your creative approach? How would you interpret the song? Follow the brief but feel free to interpret the idea with your own vision. Make your treatment/visual presentation a concise reflection of the video you want to create, using text and imagery to clearly illustrate your vision."
~ Paul Boyd, DSE Head Of Production

jamal edwards mbe
Jamal Edwards is an entrepreneur and the founder of SB.TV (SmokeyBarz). One of the new faces of UK entrepreneurialism, over the last five years Jamal has grown his youth broadcasting channel, SB.TV, from the inner confines of his west London estate into an internationally renowned brand.

Encapsulating the DIY ethos of the underground music scene that inspired the teen to pick up a camera in the first place, Jamal Edwards is responsible for documenting the rise of a new breed of previously ignored video stars. Notching up over 250 million YouTube views on the official SB.TV channel since 2006, it’s no wonder he’s now fronting his own Google Chrome advert alongside Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber or that SB.TV had a prime time fly-on-the-wall documentary series aired on T4.
