Design an ugly Christmas sweater for "Circus Halligalli"

Klaas Heufer-Umlauf and his co-host Joko Winterscheidt entertain audiences with clever entertainment and adolescent nonsense on the TV show "Circus Halligalli," now in its fifth season on ProSieben.

To celebrate this year's Christmas edition of "Circus Halligalli," ProSieben invites artists from around the world to create a Christmas sweater for Klaas, which should be a particularly ugly one.

The design of the sweater should be hideous in an amusing and funny way, and, of course, include Christmas themes throughout. Be inspired by this Pinterest board and submit designs for the sweater or photographs of your ready-made sweaters.

Klaas will personally select one design to be produced and later presented by him in front of millions of fans during the Christmas edition of "Circus Halligalli" on December 14, 2015. Additionally, the Selected Artist will receive €1,500.
About Klaas Heufer-Umlauf
Klaas Heufer-Umlauf was born in Oldenburg, Germany in 1983. The actor, singer, TV presenter and TV producer worked as a hairdresser and makeup artist prior to his career in television.

Following his initial experience at the theater in Oldenburg, Klaas started at music television channel VIVA. As the TV duo "Joko and Klaas," Klaas and his co-host Joko Winterscheidt became famous through several programs on different TV stations in Germany. Moreover, he is the singer and founding member of the band Gloria.

About Circus Halligalli
"Circus Halligalli" is the epicenter of imbecility on German TV. One artist, as selected by Klaas and ProSieben, will:

  • Have their design produced as Christmas sweater that will be presented by Klaas on the TV show "Circus Halligalli" on December 14, 2015
  • Get exposure for their work across the social media channels of Klaas, ProSieben and Talenthouse
  • Receive €1,500
Klaas and ProSieben are giving €500 to the Popular Choice submission (the host will select out of the top 10 most shared submissions), so be sure to upload your entry and share your submission page with your friends.
  • This opportunity is open globally to those who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Void where prohibited.
  • Submissions must present the theme of Christmas and design should be ugly in an amusing, bizarre way.
  • Submissions can be designs for the sweater or photographs of ready-made sweaters.
  • All submissions must be original artwork (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright materials).
  • Artists should retain their original art files and/or photos but work must be submitted in JPEG or PNG, max size 10MB.
  • Artists that are not selected will retain ownership of their work, however ProSieben and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf have marketing rights to promote work on their channels in connection with this Creative Invite. All artists will be credited accordingly.
  • No purchase necessary to enter.
  • The Selected Artists grant ProSieben a worldwide, exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use their submitted work for the Christmas sweater production. In return, the Selected Artists will receive the specified incentives.
  • The selected work can be adapted for production purposes.
  • All submissions will feature as part of a global gallery with public sharing on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest during Open Review.
  • When sharing submissions on social media platforms please use the hashtag #KlaasWeihnachtspulli.
  • Artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should they be selected.
  • Selected Artists must respond to Talenthouse within two (2) days of receiving the notification email or else will forfeit all incentives.
  • Inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions, as well as submissions that do not fit the brief and follow the guidelines, will be removed.
How Klaas and Prosieben will choose
Klaas and ProSieben will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules. Their selection will be independent of social shares.

As soon as you have submitted your work, feel free to start sharing your submission page on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. These shares will count towards the Popular Choice award. Please note, it does not impact your chance of being chosen as a Selected Artist if you choose not to share.
