Design static artistic maps that illustrate our planet with creative flair

November 29, 2019

Our planet is rich in all kinds of beautiful diversity – from people and cultures, to nature and animals. And we think that's worth celebrating!

How do you visualise the world in a fresh, engaging way? We want you to design static artistic maps that illustrate our planet with creative flair.

Let colour inspire you, sharing stories about the people, animals, communities and cultures that make up our shared world. This could be a map of the whole world, a specific country, city or even community. You can be literal or abstract in your work, perhaps weaving in hidden tales and meanings. Take a boring navigation tool and bring it to life!

  • Create a digital static map embracing and highlighting different cultures and locations
  • Make a design that will stand out, catching attention on social media or as interior decoration
  • In the description section, include (in English) the name of the place or community your map is from
  • Submit static or moving artwork showing the world map in a fresh, creative way
  • Use this mood board for inspiration
  • Include any copyright or stock material
  • Include any landmarks or places that will infringe copyright or service marks of a third party (that means no places and landmarks with known restrictions)
  • Include any images of real or recognizable people
  • Include immoral, offensive, or adult content – keep it PG, please
  • Include photography in your piece

Flash Creative Invites are open briefs hosted by Talenthouse and inspired by cultural trends we love. All creators are welcome to participate.

Each brief focuses on a key theme or event. Creators are free to submit new and existing artwork, as long as it's relevant. This special type of Creative Invite is only live for a couple of weeks – so don't hang around!
