Design location inspired Limited Edition bottle bags for Absolut Vodka

Absolut is famous around the world for its clean, natural taste, and its iconic Vodka bottle, inspired by an 18th century medicine bottle found in an antique store in Stockholm. After the success of Absolut's partnership with Talenthouse in 2018, the brand returns and brings a new opportunity to design a range of Limited Edition paper bags, for 7 new locations around the world!

Design a creative, attention grabbing, location inspired paper bag for Absolut Vodka.

Use graphic design or digital illustration to create your design - be inspired by the mood boards, and capture the culture, heritage, landscape and vibrancy of each location. Read more, and download the template from the 'Submission Guidelines' section below!

A minimum of 2, and up to 7 designs will be selected to receive £3,000 each.
Submission Guidelines
  • Your design should be inspired by one of these locations: Sydney, Auckland, Fiji, Beirut, Stockholm, Canada or Nordic Cruises.
  • Be inspired by the landscape, heritage, culture and vibrancy of the location, and bring it to life in your creative style.
  • Only 1 location should be represented in a design. You can submit up to 10 times, so feel free to create several designs!
  • Please use the 1L paper bag template provided. Your design should cover all sides of the bag, but the focus should be on the front panel.
  • Your designs should include the location name (in English) on the front panel of the design so it can be seen on-shelf.
  • Take a look at the mood board for each location for inspiration: Sydney, Auckland, Fiji, Beirut, Stockholm, Canada, Nordic Cruises.
  • Carefully read the Design Guide before starting your design. Some locations have specific restrictions detailed in the guide, alongside guidance on using the provided template.


  • You are welcome to use any colour palette you wish, though It should compliment the blue 'ABSOLUT' logo.
  • Your design should not include any reference to religious symbols / buildings, political symbols or moments; allude to alcohol drinking scenarios or dangerous situations, include any reference to children, or include images of real people (though you can draw people if you wish).
  • Make sure all the logos and text are easy to read on your design.
  • Your design may include text in a language local to that location, though should compliment the design. If you include local language, please detail what it means in the 'description' field of your submission in English.
  • We'd love to know what inspired your designs! Tell us about this via the 'description' field of your submission. Please write in English.

The Career Opportunity
A minimum of 2, and up to 7 pieces of work will be selected by Absolut and Pernod Ricard. The Selected Artists will:
  • Potentially have their design produced into a Limited Edition paper bag design for sale during 2019, in the location represented in the design
  • Receive potential exposure for their work across Absolut and Pernod Ricard social media pages
  • Receive £3,000 for each piece selected.

Creative Invite Guidelines
  • This opportunity is open globally to those who are at least 25 years of age at the time of entry. Employees and their immediate family and household members of Absolut / Pernod Ricard and Talenthouse are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law.
  • Please note, that during the Submission Period, submissions may be featured on Absolut's social media channels with credit given to the artist.
  • Artists should retain their original artwork files in the highest quality possible but designs must be submitted in JPEG or PNG, max size 10MB. No photography please.
  • Limit ten (10) submissions per artist or artist team. Each submission should contain only one location but several images of the same design can be uploaded to a submission.
  • Artwork must be original (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright materials or stock imagery) but can be pre-existing or created especially for this opportunity. Please do not submit artwork created for other Absolut Creative Invites.
  • For each individual design artists should use the provided template, where artists may show the front and back of their design. All rights in and to the material provided are reserved by Absolut Vodka and Pernod Ricard.
  • Artists should read this Design Guide, and submissions should conform to the restrictions and specifications set out in the document.
  • Please add a short description in English explaining the inspiration and design as well as the location the design represents. Please use the 'Say something about your submission' section within your submission.
  • Please read the "SUBMISSION GUIDELINES" above carefully.
  • Artists that are not selected will not give up any rights in the original portions of their work, however Absolut and Pernod Ricard have the rights to promote submissions on their channels in connection with this Creative Invite for three (3) months after the announcement of the Selected Artists. All artists will be credited accordingly.
  • Selected Artists will have to sign an Artist Agreement assigning all rights, title and interest in and to the selected work to Absolut and Pernod Ricard for global usage. The selected designs can still be used for artist's own portfolio purposes with credit given to Absolut as the source.
  • The selected submission may be modified in collaboration with the Selected Artists to accommodate production requirements. Please note that the selected designs may be adapted by Absolut and thus the on-shelf product may vary from the selected designs.
  • Artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should they be selected.
  • The Selected Artists must respond to Talenthouse within two (2) days of receiving the notification email or else will forfeit all incentives.
  • Talenthouse reserves the right to remove inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions as well as submissions that do not fit the brief, guidelines or Official Rules.
  • No purchase necessary to enter.

HOW ABSOLUT WILL CHOOSE
Absolut and Pernod Ricard will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.
