THE BRIEF
Nokia and Burton US are inviting creative enthusiasts from around the world to submit films, photographs or artwork inspired by the subculture and lifestyle of snowboarding. Participants should capture the snowboarding spirit either on and off the slopes and draw inspiration from the associated music, fashion, artwork and culture.

2 winners will join Nokia's official AAA media team at the Burton US Snowboarding Championships from February 27th 2013 - March 3rd 2013 to document their journey through art, photos or films through the lens of a Nokia #Lumia920.

THE BURTON US SNOWBOARD CHAMPIONSHIPS
2013 marks the 31st anniversary of The World's Greatest Snowboard Event and a new chapter in US Open history. Over 100 of the world's best riders will make their way to Vail, Colorado, the new home of the US Open for intense competition and progressive riding on February 25th - March 2nd, 2013. For more information, click here or visit: snowboarding.transworld.net
THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Two winners chosen by the judges including Dean Blotto Gray and Gabe L'Heureux, will receive a Nokia #Lumia920 device to capture their experience in Vail, Colorado* where they will join Nokia's official AAA media team.

Those winners will have their final work shown across Nokia Lumia's channels and one overall winner will be selected to have their final work showcased via Clash Magazine and receive $1000.

*All expenses including flights, luxury accommodation and travel for 4 nights included

One highly commended will receive a brand new Nokia #Lumia920 smartphone. 
THE COMMUNITY CHOICE
One highest voted artist will receive a brand new Nokia #Lumia920 smartphone and a Burton snowboard.
CREATIVE INVITE GUIDELINES
  • Participants must be over 18 years old
  • Participants may submit:
    - Artwork (JPG or PNG (5MB Max)
    - Photography (JPG or PNG (5MB Max)
    - Videos (YouTube and Vimeo link). Recommended film length is between one to five minutes
  • Entries can be pre-existing material created by the participant
  • Participants must include a description about their submission
  • Winning entrants must be available to travel between February 27th 2013 and March 3rd 2013
  • Inappropriate or harmful submissions will be removed
  • No purchase necessary
  • Winners will be contacted on February 12th and announced on February 15th. If we have been unable to contact you by February 13th noon GMT, another winner will be selected. Please ensure you use the correct email address when entering. Once we contact you, you will be expected to provide your passport number, expiration date and date of birth
  • Winning entrants must have a passport and be eligible to travel to the USA. Click here to find out more information
  • Winning entrants that travel to the USA will be required to document their experience using a Nokia Lumia 920 device
  • Submitting entrants that do not have a passport or who are unable to travel to the USA may still participate and be considered for the Highest Voted and Highly Commended positions

HOW NOKIA WILL CHOOSE
Nokia will select from all qualified submissions with special consideration for the top voted entries. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.
