Design a dress for Lena and Universal Music

Certified double platinum award-winning singer songwriter Lena, released her new album Crystal Sky with Universal Music earlier this summer.

To celebrate the album release, Lena and Universal Music invite fashion designers around the world to design a dress for Lena's upcoming tour.

Artists can submit a sketch or ready-made fashion design inspired by he track "Home" on Lena’s new album. Known for her beauty and style, Lena has a very self-assured fashion sense and specific taste. Giving artists some tips and direction for her desired dress, take a look at her video below to get her input and get excited about your design.

One Selected Artist will have their work seen by millions when Lena wears the design on her upcoming tour. Additionally, the selected fashion designer will receive €2,000.
THE DRESS
Lena is looking for a particular dress to perform a very special track on stage and she is excited to see your creation.

The last track of every concert on Lena's Carry You Home Tour will be "Home." Lena dedicated this track to her deceased friend, expressing her gratitude for the time they shared and deep ties to one another.

With respect to the content of "Home," Lena is looking for a long black dress for her stage appearance. The design should appear elegant and include interesting details, but still restrained and appropriate to the subject of the track. The design should be suitable for stage appearances and should include the ability to move freely.
The Career Opportunity
One artist, as selected by Lena and the jury, will:
  • Have their designed dress brought to life for Lena's live shows
  • Receive exposure across the channels of Lena, Universal Music and Talenthouse
  • Receive €2,000
Lena and Universal Music are giving €500 to the Popular Choice submission (the host will select out of the top 10 most shared submissions), so be sure to upload your entry and share your submission page with your friends.
ABOUT lena & CRYSTAL SKY
In 2010, Lena won the Eurovision Song Contest and released her debut album My Cassette Player. Now her 4th record, Crystal Sky, was released this May - a glittery electronic creation with artfully composed rough edges, an impressive testimonial to the career of one of the most important German artists of today.

Lena's principle for her preceding album Stardust was to do whatever she felt like, and its success proved she was on the right track. To rehash: the album and its eponymous single both went gold, she won an Echo award for the best national music video, and 'Best German Act' at the MTV Europe Music Awards. She has continued to develop her style according to her own vision, stayed pop(ular), enchanted her fans, and even impressed her many critics.

MEET THE JUDGES
DANA ROSKI
Dana knew early on that she preferred the fashion industry rather than continuing her family's business. The trained fashion manager worked for The Corner and Fendi before she became her own boss.

Working for Joy Denalane she found her way into styling and today is the closest confidante for Lena when it comes to fashion, beauty and styling. Furthermore, Dana runs her own fashion and lifestyle store in Berlin, Germany.
PHILIPP KOCH VERHEYEN
Philipp had his goal in mind early on: to become a hair stylist and visagist. In order to realize his dream and exercise his profession, he received an education at Vidal Sassoon in Germany and London.

Today, Philipp works for some of the biggest names in fashion like Kilian Kerner, ELLE Vietnam, JNC, Material Girl, Style and the Family Tunes and VOGUE Italia. As well as for Celebrities like Bar Refaeli, Jared Leto/30 Seconds to Mars, Eva Padberg and Evil Jared.
MARTIN RUTTER
Originally, Martin was a qualified advertising merchant, but after a short stay at the ad agency Friends&Sons he moved towards the music industry.

At Universal Music, Martin works as a senior manager, marketing German musicians. Among other projects, he is responsible for Lena's new album Crystal Sky.
CREATIVE INVITE GUIDELINES
  • This opportunity is open globally to those who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Void where prohibited.
  • All submissions must be original artwork (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright materials).
  • Artists should retain their original art files and/or photos but work must be submitted in JPEG or PNG, max size 5MB.
  • Submissions must include a short description about the work.
  • Artists are encouraged to have an up-to-date Talenthouse profile with a short description about themselves.
  • When sharing submissions on social media platforms, please use the hashtag #LenasDress.
  • All submissions will feature as part of a global gallery with public sharing on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest during Open Review.
  • Artists that are not selected will retain ownership of their work, however Lena and Universal Music have marketing rights to promote work on their channels in connection with this Creative Invite. All artists will be credited accordingly.
  • Lena and Universal Music can use the selected work according to the Official Rules.
  • In exchange for the incentive set forth above, the Selected Artist grants Lena and Universal Music the exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to produce the dress for Lena's stage performances until the end of 2015.
  • The selected design may be modified for production purposes of the dress.
  • Artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should they be selected.
  • Selected Artists must respond to Talenthouse within three (3) days of receiving the notification email or else will forfeit all incentives.
  • Talenthouse reserves the right to disqualify artists who we believe are cheating the sharing system as this is against the spirit of the Creative Invite.
  • Inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions, as well as submissions that do not fit the brief and follow the guidelines, will be removed
  • No purchase necessary to enter.
HOW LENA AND THE JURY WILL CHOOSE
Lena and the guest judges will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules. Their selection will be independent of social shares.

As soon as you have submitted your work, feel free to start sharing your submission page on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. These shares will count towards the Popular Choice award. Please note, it does not impact your chance of being chosen as a Selected Artist if you choose not to share.
