Design the Limited Edition Movie Poster for Filth

THE BRIEF

Top movie studio Lionsgate invite artists, designers and creative minds to create a limited edition promotional poster for the new movie Filth.

One winning design, as selected by Filth author Irvine Welsh and Director Jon S. Baird, will be printed in the Metro newspaper (with a readership of over 3.5 million!) and win £1,000 cash. 

Their design will be featured across the movie's official channels and they will receive a large scale printed, signed and framed version of their poster.

Creators should take inspiration from the book, movie trailer and other artworks associated with the Film. Take a look at our Pinterest board for more inspiration.

The design dimensions are 508mm (width) by 381mm (height) and can be presented in any digital artistic format.

Be sure to include the following in your designs:
  1. Logos and fonts - which can be downloaded here
  2. The release date (October 4th 2013)
  3. Cast names: James McAvoy, Jamie Bell and Jim Broadbent
ABOUT FILTH
Filth is released is cinemas on October 4th 2013, written by Irvine Welsh, creator of Trainspotting. The cast includes James McAvoy, Jamie Bell and Jim Broadbent and tells the dark story of Bruce Robertson, a detective sergeant who begins indulging in multiple vices including drugs and alcoholism.

ABOUT IRVINE WELSH
Irvine Welsh is a Scottish novelist, playwright and short story writer. Recognised for his novel Trainspotting, which was made into a critically acclaimed film. Irvine joins the judging panel of this Creative Invite.
ABOUT JOHN S. BAIRD
Jon S. Baird began his career as a runner and progressed quickly through the ranks of film production to become one of Scotland’s brightest young directorial talents. In 2004, Baird wrote, directed and produced his first short film, It’s A Casual Life, which led to him being employed as an associate producer on Green Street (2005), starring Elijah Wood.

CREATIVE INVITE GUIDELINES
  • This opportunity is open to UK and Ireland residents only. If you are not from the UK or Ireland you understand and agree that you are not eligible for prizing
  • Participants must submit artwork in either a JPG or PNG format (5MB Max) and include a description about their entry
  • Entries must be of the dimensions 508mm (width) by 381mm (height)
  • Designs must be original (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright materials) but can be pre-existing or created especially for this opportunity
  • Participants must retain a high res version of their submission if selected as a winner
  • The winning design may be modified for production purposes
  • Participants must join using an active email address so if chosen as a winner, they can be easily contacted
  • Talenthouse reserves the right to disqualify participants who we believe are cheating the voting system as this is against the spirit of the Creative Invite
  • All submissions will be featured in digital galleries to promote your entry via public voting on Facebook and Twitter. Voting will give you additional exposure and recognition for your work as well as new fans and supporters. The judges will select the overall winner and runners up. The highest voted entry also receives a prize
  • Inappropriate or harmful submissions will be removed
  • No purchase necessary

Irvine Welsh and Jon S. Baird will select from all qualified submissions with special consideration for the top voted entries. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.
