Create videos and animated artwork for CATRICE cosmetics

The Brief
CATRICE cosmetics is well known for a wide range of high-quality beauty products available in more than 50 countries worldwide.

CATRICE invites artists from around the world to create unique GIFs, animations and short videos (10-15 seconds) to drive awareness throughout the brand's social media channels.

Product collages and textures are the main brand elements when it comes to communication. Artists are required to include these brand elements in their work (provided assets to be used), but are encouraged to create new ways of using them, bringing to life the large choice of colours, trendy and classic shades and luxurious textures of CATRICE products.

Artists should also check out CATRICE's website and Instagram page for further inspiration.

Five Selected Artists, will have their work showcased across CATRICE's social media channels and will receive €2,500 (1st Selected Artist), €1,000 (2nd Selected Artist) or €500 each (3rd - 5th Selected Artist).
THINGS TO CONSIDER
When creating your animated artwork, please consider the following:
  • Catrice is looking for moving images that bring to life their wide range of products in a fashionable and stylish way.
  • Submissions should have a length of 10-15 seconds.
  • Submissions should have a square (1:1) aspect ratio with a resolution of at least 1000x1000 px.
  • Submissions should include a variety of CATRICE products, as well as the CATRICE logo. These assets can be downloaded here.
  • The animated artwork should combine CATRICE products with textures (liquids, powders etc.) created by you, that represent consistency of cosmetics.
  • Colours you use for your textures should echo the colour scheme of the CATRICE products you selected for your work.
  • Submissions must be on black or white background.
  • The logo has to be positioned in the upper right corner (black logo on white background or white logo on black background).
  • Submissions should not include humans or any body parts.
  • Music can, but need not, be used (must be original and/or cleared to use).
  • Please don't use voiceover for your submission.
  • If you use typography, it must be in English.

The Career opportunity
5 Selected Artists, as chosen by CATRICE, will:
  • Have their work showcased across the social media channels of Talenthouse and CATRICE
  • Receive €2,500 (1st Selected Artist)
  • Receive €1,000 (2nd Selected Artist)
  • Receive €500 each (3rd - 5th Selected Artist)
5 Finalists, as chosen by CATRICE, will receive exposure across CATRICE's social media channels.
CREATIVE INVITE GUIDELINES
  • This opportunity is open globally to those who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law.
  • Multiple submissions (up to 10) and artist teams are allowed.
  • All submissions must be original artwork (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright materials or stock imagery, except for the material provided by CATRICE) but can be pre-existing or created especially for this opportunity. All rights in and to the material provided is reserved by CATRICE.
  • Please read the "THINGS TO CONSIDER" section above carefully.
  • All submissions must include a variety of CATRICE products, as well as the CATRICE logo, placed in the upper right corner on black or white background. Product shots and the logo are to be found in the provided assets.
  • Animated GIFs and videos should have a length of 10 to 15 seconds, 1:1 aspect ratio with a resolution of at least 1000x1000 px and should be uploaded as an mp4 via the “Participate” tab to the Talenthouse player.
  • Please store separate video and audio tracks of your film project in case your video is selected.

  • All music and content included in submitted videos must be original and/or cleared to use. Proof will be required if selected.
  • Artists that are not selected, as well as the five Finalists, will retain ownership of their work, however CATRICE has global marketing rights to promote the work on their social media and online channels with reference to this Creative Invite for up to twelve months after announcement of the Selected Artists. All artists will be credited accordingly.
  • For the incentives set forth above, the five Selected Artists assign CATRICE all rights, title and interest in and to their work. The Selected Artists will have to sign a Copyright Agreement. A copy of the form can be found here. Selected artwork can still be used for artist's own portfolio purposes.
  • The selected submissions may be slightly modified for purposes mentioned above.
  • Artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should they be selected.
  • The Selected Artists must respond to Talenthouse within two (2) days of receiving the notification email or else will forfeit all incentives.
  • Talenthouse reserves the right to remove inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions as well as submissions that do not fit the brief, guidelines or Official Rules.
  • No purchase necessary to enter.
HOW CATRICE WILL CHOOSE
CATRICE will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.
