Create a video for Unitymedia and Borussia Dortmund

THE BRIEF
Media platform Unitymedia, a partner with Bundesliga soccer club Borussia Dortmund (BVB), continuously celebrates the excitement and passion of soccer. When Borussia Dortmund play their home stadium, the crowd goes wild and on match days the whole city is in a fever of excitement.

Filmmakers, video directors, producers and content creators from around the world are invited to submit a 60 second (max.) video that captures the feeling and emotion of home match days.

Why is a soccer team unbeatable when it plays at home? Is it because of the fan's enthusiasm, the team's unique training methods, or the passionate support of a whole city for their local heroes? The judging panel is seeking videos with fresh ideas that evoke emotion. Check out the mood board for further inspiration

One Artist, as selected out of 10 finalists, will have their video presented to a stadium audience of 80,000 at Borussia Dortmund's first home game after the winter break on January 30, 2016. Additionally, the Selected Artist will receive €5,000.

The career opportunity
The jury will select 10 finalists who will each receive €200 and take part in the Borussia Dortmund fan voting. From those 10 finalists, one artist will be selected by Borussia Dortmund fans within the voting competition. The Selected Artist will receive:
  • Presentation of the video to a stadium audience of 80,000 at Borussia Dortmund's first home game after the winter break on January 30, 2016
  • Presence on Unitymedia, Borussia Dortmund and Talenthouse's social media channels
  • €5,000

Unitymedia might use more of the submitted videos (after consultation). These Selected Artists will each receive €2,000.

The judging panel that will select the 10 finalists from all submissions consists of:

  • André Schloemer, Senior VP Brand Management & Corporate Communication
CREATIVE INVITE GUIDELINES
  • This opportunity is open globally to those who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law.
  • The submitted video must interpret the theme "home play" in creative ways.
  • The video should have a length of maximum 60 seconds. Please note that YouTube adds one second to the length of your video during the uploading process.
  • Artists must upload their video to YouTube or Vimeo, then paste the video URL via the 'Participate' tab on Talenthouse.
  • Submissions must include a short description about the work.
  • Videos submitted must be original (meaning not using third party copyright materials) and comply with Official Rules and guidelines.
  • All music and content (e.g. people appearing in the video) included in submitted videos must be original and/or cleared to use. Proof will be required if selected.
  • Submitted videos must contain no product placement.
  • Submitted videos can be adapted for use in the context of the creative invites by Unitymedia (E.g. logo/Packshot Unitymedia or BVB).
  • The original file must have a resolution of at least 1920x1080px in the case that artists are selected.
  • Artists that are not selected will retain ownership of their work, however Unitymedia has marketing rights to promote work on their channels in connection with this Creative Invite. All artists will be credited accordingly.
  • Selected Artists grant Unitymedia a worldwide, exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to use their submitted work. In return, the Selected Artists will receive the specified incentives.
  • The videos of the Selected Artists can be adapted for the foregoing purpose.
  • When sharing submissions on social media platforms, please use the hashtag #heimspiel.
  • Artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should they be selected.
  • The Selected Artists must respond to Talenthouse within 2 days of receiving the notification email or else will forfeit all incentives.
  • Inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions, as well as submissions that do not fit the brief and guidelines will be removed.
  • No purchase necessary to enter.
HOW BORUSSIA DORTMUND WILL CHOOSE
The jury around Borussia Dortmund and Unitymedia will select 10 finalists from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.

The Selected Artist will be selected from 10 finalists by Borussia Dortmund fans within a voting competition.
