invites graphic artists from around
the world to create the label and outer box packaging artwork for a limited edition
release of their 21 year old Scotch whisky. The theme of the artwork should
focus on ‘Complex Spices’ - a key flavour note in the limited edition. Ballantine’s
is looking for creative, colorful, 2D graphic art that brings to life the
complex spices and flavour notes that include cinnamon, warming ginger and
liquorice. The artwork should not be too literal and more abstract. Creative
representations of the flavour notes is highly encouraged. If you do want to
include a literal visual of one or more of the spices, it should be incorporated
in a clever and different way.
All submissions should be submitted using the template provided
but you may also create other visual mockups.
One Selected Artist will have their work used on the limited edition bottle of Ballantine’s 21 Years Old and receive £5,000. Three Finalists will receive £1,000 each.
