#IfWallsCouldTalk

Design Mural Street Art for Xi-Design

Artists Selected On
July 12, 2016
Briefing
Xi-Design invites artists from around the world to design a mural inspired by the theme: "If walls could talk."

This is your opportunity to have your artwork brought to life by Xi-Design on a gigantic house wall in Berlin, Germany.

The wall is located in a historic site in former East Berlin. It’s built directly next to the former border seperating the GDR and western Germany, opposite of the East Side Gallery, a permanent open-air exhibition within the longest preserved part of the Berlin Wall.

If this wall could talk, what would it say?

Please consider the following when creating your design:
  • The mural should visually interpret the theme “If walls could talk”. Besides that, there are no further specifications for your design. Let your creativity reign free!
  • Your design should work on a big surface area of roughly 12 x 20 meters and be recognizable from a distance.
  • Your submitted design should have a minimum size of 3000px x 5000px
  • You may submit illustrations, graffiti, typography or graphic design of any sort.

Xi-Design is on the lookout for innovative street art which makes good use of the exceptionally big surface of a house wall as an artistic canvas. Artists are encouraged to check out this Pinterest board for inspiration.

One Selected Artist will receive the opportunity of having their mural painted on a gigantic house wall in Berlin, Germany. The Selected Artist will also receive €1,000 and a graphic tablet by Wacom worth €2,500.
