The Brief

Mercedes-Benz is one of the world's best known car brands, and over the years they have built a solid and strong fan base on social media. And now they are inches away from reaching the one millionth fan to follow them on their German Facebook page. So to celebrate...

Mercedes-Benz invites artists from around the world to create multi-media artwork to celebrate the millionth fan of their German Facebook page.

Submissions can be graphic design, illustration, photography, animated GIFs, short videos or any kind of animated artwork (max. 15 sec.). There is no limit to your creativity - Mercedes-Benz is looking for artwork that visually celebrates real brand love.

Artists are encouraged to check out Mercedes-Benz’s Facebook page and Instagram for inspiration.

One Selected Artist, as chosen by Mercedes-Benz, will have their work showcased on the German Mercedes-Benz social channels. In addition, the Selected Artist will receive €4,000.

When creating your artwork, please consider the following:
  • Whether it’s high-quality photography of a Mercedes-Benz classic car, a short video of a Mercedes roadtrip, unique illustration, design or surprisingly animated GIFs – Mercedes-Benz is looking forward to seeing various artwork inspired by real love for the brand.
  • A Mercerdes-Benz car or the brand’s logo can be part of your submission, but is not mandatory.
  • Videos, GIFs or animations should have a length of max. 15 seconds.
  • Music can be used for videos/animations (must be original and/or cleared to use).
  • Please don't use voiceover for videos/animations.
  • Photographs, illustrations and designs should have a resolution of at least 2000x2000 px.
  • If you use typography, it must be in English or German.

The Career opportunity
One Artist, as selected by Mercedes-Benz, will:
  • Have their work showcased across the social media channels of Talenthouse and Mercedes-Benz Germany
  • Have their work posted to celebrate the millionth fan of Mercedes-Benz's German Facebook page
  • Receive €4,000
  • This opportunity is open globally to those who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law.
  • Multiple submissions (up to 10) and artist teams are allowed.
  • All submissions must be original artwork, solely created by the submitting artist (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright materials or stock imagery) but can be pre-existing or created especially for this opportunity.
  • Please read the "THINGS TO CONSIDER" section above carefully.
  • Artists should retain their original high-res artwork files but static design work should be submitted in JPEG or PNG, max. size 10MB. If your work is selected you will have to provide a high-res version (min. 2000x2000px) of your submitted work.
  • Animated GIFs, videos and animations should have a length of max. 15 seconds and should be uploaded as an mp4 via the “Participate” tab to the Talenthouse player. Artists should retain their original high-res artwork files.
  • Please store separate video and audio tracks of your film project in case your video is selected.
  • All music and content (also persons) included in submitted videos must be original and/or cleared to use. Proof will be required if selected.
  • Artists that are not selected, will retain ownership of their work, however Mercedes-Benz has global marketing rights to promote the work on their social media and online channels with reference to this Creative Invite for up to six months after announcement of the Selected Artists. All artists will be credited accordingly.
  • For the incentives set forth above, the Selected Artist grants Mercedes-Benz an exclusive, unlimited, global, perpetual, royalty-free license to use their work. The Selected Artist will have to sign a License Agreement. Selected artwork can still be used for artist's own portfolio purposes.
  • The selected submission may be slightly modified in cooperation with the artist for purposes mentioned above.
  • Artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should they be selected.
  • The Selected Artist must respond to Talenthouse within two (2) days of receiving the notification email or else will forfeit all incentives.
  • Talenthouse reserves the right to remove inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions as well as submissions that do not fit the brief, guidelines or Official Rules.
  • No purchase necessary to enter.

How Mercedes-Benz will choose
Mercedes-Benz will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.
