Create inspiring and imaginative artwork for Bombay Sapphire’s ‘Stir Creativity’ campaign

Creators Selected On
July 25, 2019

Creativity makes us feel alive. It frees people to create new from nothing and to express their own perspective. It’s why they’re here. To open creativity up to everyone, show how the imagination creates the exquisite and how provocation brings splashes of brilliance. Creativity lives in Bombay Sapphire gin. It is the perfect canvas to experimentation and expression.

Create stunning artwork that brings to life ‘Stir Creativity’, taking visual cues from, and incorporating the beautiful and iconic blue Bombay Sapphire bottle. Push the creative boundaries and get experimental. Use illustration, graphic design, or mixed media to tell the story in a beautiful, visually inspiring way.

A minimum of 4 and up to 6 pieces of work will be selected and receive £1,500 each. Furthermore, a minimum of 10, and up to 24 pieces of work will be chosen as Finalists, and receive £250 each. Selected and Finalist artwork may be shared across Bombay Sapphire's social and digital channels, and potentially be showcased at an exhibition celebrating creativity.

Things to consider
When creating your artwork, please consider the following:
  • Create artwork that brings to life 'Stir Creativity' and what it means to you.
  • Include the bottle - you can either recreate it in your own style (illustration, graffiti art, graphics, etc.) or use a photo of the bottle provided in the Asset Pack. Please ensure the bottle is naturally integrated into your artwork.
  • You may use any colours you wish, but be inspired by Bombay Sapphire's colour palette. See the Brand Guide for details.
  • If you wish, you may include Bombay Sapphire's logo and brand pattern provided in the Asset Pack, but this isn't mandatory.
  • Create stunning, bold, modern, disruptive, artwork that is super creative and pushes boundaries, making people stop and look.
  • Consider the brand's values - exquisite, avant-garde and worldly - when developing your work. Read more about this in the Brand Guide.

  • When creating your artwork please consider that Selected and Finalist Artwork will be used for digital channels as well as offline for exhibitions.
  • Bombay Sapphire will be adding the text 'enjoy responsibly' to selected work, so please consider this when developing your submission.
  • If you wish to depict drinks or cocktails in your submission, please always show drinks as full and containing ice. No images of straws please.
  • You should not show or imply drunkenness, that the brand has curative or therapeutic properties, irresponsible drinking, dangerous situations, anything offensive, include people anyone under the age of 25 or any other brands in your artwork.
  • Let your creativity shine through, and inspire your work! Tell us about your creative process and what 'Stir Creativity' means to you via the 'Description' field when submitting your work.
  • Bombay Sapphire would love you to share your work across social media! Please tag @bombaysapphire and use #bombaysapphire #stircreativity so they can see and potentially share your work.
About 'Stir Creativity'
The expression of creativity makes us human but we learn to supress it. Stir Creativity is Bombay Sapphire's call to arms for everyone to engage with their inner artist and unlock their creative potential.

Creativity is a basic instinct everyone is born with an urge to communicate – an unquenchable thirst for self-expression. Bombay Sapphire gin is the perfect canvas for creativity – its versatility and balanced flavour profile allows for endless opportunities in cocktail making. Bombay Sapphire gin contains 10 hand-selected botanicals from exotic locations around the world, which are then gently vapour infused to capture their bright, vibrant flavours.
