Create Innovative AR experiences in Lens Studio by Snap Inc.

Creators Selected On
October 12, 2020

Snap Inc. is committed to supporting creativity and innovation in communities around the world. With that mission in mind, we are excited to announce this brief in partnership with Snap to identify the most innovative creators producing AR from within the Talenthouse community! We invite creative technologists to bring their imagination to life by generating visually stunning, interactive AR experiences in Lens Studio.

Create and publish a world facing AR Lens that reflects your creativity and brings joy to people around the globe.

Creators do not need to have direct experience in AR but should have expertise in at least one of the following areas:

  • 3D Modelling & Animation
  • Fine Art/Illustration
  • Graphic Design
  • Interactive Programming
  • Machine Learning

Snap will select 15 creators to receive $2,000 USD each, based on creativity, originality, and quality of their AR project.

  • Design your AR project in Lens Studio, then publish to Snapchat
  • Your AR Lens should be designed for the rear (world facing) camera. In other words, your project should not be a “selfie” or face Lens
  • Your Lens design should offer an interactive, playful experience that people want to share. Have fun and let your imagination run wild
  • Although not required, top-quality rear camera Lenses typically include animated 3D models
  • Don't include references to any real people, dangerous situations, other brands, show/imply alcohol or drunkenness, or anything offensive
  • Check out this mood board for inspiration

  • Please note that when you use Lens Studio to publish your Lens, you are agreeing to Snap Inc. Lens Studio Terms, which means Snap Inc. can use your Lens for marketing purposes
  • Snap would love to see and potentially share your work! Tag your work with @SnapLensStudio and use #SnapLensStudio
  • Your submission should include the preview video of your Lens (portrait, 5-10 seconds long, MP4 file), and the link to your Snapcode. Please retain your original source files in the highest quality possible. No physically drawn Lens designs, please
