Create artwork inspired by the fifth BBC series of Peaky Blinders
The Peaky Blinders Team / BBC Creative
Power weighs heavy on those who have it and no one feels this more than the leader of the Peaky Blinders, Tommy Shelby. Over four series we’ve seen how holding power has caused devastating personal losses to him and his closest allies, Polly and Arthur. As Peaky Blinders returns for its fifth series later this year, we’ll see the strain of leadership begin to wear away at Tommy’s seemingly unbreakable character.
The BBC is inviting artists, designers and illustrators from the UK to show their love for the iconic show by creating one-of-a-kind static poster artwork for Peaky Blinders inspired by its main characters. Check out the “Things to Consider” section below for additional notes.
A minimum of 10 and up to 15 pieces of artwork will be selected by a panel from the BBC. The Selected Artists will receive £1,000 for each piece selected and potentially be part of an OOH activation and wider marketing campaign. Also, non selected artwork will potentially be showcased in a digital gallery with credit given on the BBC’s website. Talenthouse is the Promoter of this talent search.
Before creating your artwork, please consider the following:
Peaky Blinders is a crime family saga set in the 1920s and 30s. The story centres on the Peaky Blinders gang, their ambitious leader Tommy Shelby, and his ascent through British society from the slums of Birmingham to the corridors of power in London.
