Create artwork inspired by Spider-Man™: Far From Home

Exclusively in the UK, Cineworld is offering a special incentive for their Spider-Man: Far From Home poster art! These will be in addition to the five (5) Global Selected Artists.

Cineworld will select three (3) additional pieces of Work. These additional Selected Artists from the UK will receive:
  • A £500 Cineworld gift card each
  • Potentially a print of their selected poster signed by Tom Holland
  • £1,500 for each piece selected
The selected posters will potentially be used on digital screens in select Cineworld cinemas and on their social channels to promote the film in the run-up to release in addition to the official SM: FFH artwork in cinemas.

Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man must step up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever in Spider-Man™: Far From Home. To amplify the launch of the film, Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, Inc. is creating an art activation campaign leading up to this film’s release, and they want to collaborate with you!

Artists, designers, and illustrators from around the world are invited to create one-of-a-kind static artwork for Spider-Man™: Far From Home inspired by the latest trailer. Help capture Spider-Man as he steps up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever.

Whether it's an illustration, a digital painting or an alternative poster design, the judges are looking for captivating and imaginative static artwork to help drive promotion and excitement socially across the film's marketing and digital channels. Artists are encouraged to check out the trailer and Spider-Man™: Far From Home's social channels. Artists may also use approved imagery assets for inspiration.

Artwork will potentially be featured across the film's marketing campaign, including social accounts, print materials, and merchandise. Five (5) pieces of art will be selected by Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, Inc. The Selected Artists will receive $2,000 for each piece selected. For more details, please read the Official Rules.
things to consider
  • Artists shall depict Spider-Man in his suit from the Picture as seen in the approved imagery assets.
  • The Work must not include any other super-heroes or characters that are not depicted in the Picture.
  • Artists are encouraged to create one-of-a-kind alternate posters, illustrations, digital paintings inspired by the trailer and the themes of the Picture.
  • Artists may use the approved imagery assets and trailer for inspiration, as well the title treatment in their Work.
  • Artists should watch the trailer and check out the Picture’s Facebook page for additional inspiration.

Spider-Man™: Far From Home follows Spider-Man™ as he steps up to take on new threats in a world that has changed forever. Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental disasters wreaking havoc across the continent!

Five pieces of work, as chosen by Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, Inc., will be selected. The Selected Artists will:
  • Potentially have their artwork featured in Spider-Man: Far From Home's marketing campaign
  • Potentially receive exposure for their work across Spider-Man: Far From Home’s digital and marketing channels including television, print materials and merchandise
  • Receive $2,000 for each piece of artwork selected

creative invite guidelines
  • This opportunity is open globally to those who are at least 18 years of age and the age of majority at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law.
  • Each artist may submit up to 10 submissions. No artist teams allowed.
  • Artists should retain their original artwork files in the highest quality possible but designs must be submitted in JPEG or PNG, max. size 10MB.
  • All submissions must be original artwork which is not inspired by or based on third-party artwork (and may not contain third party materials or intellectual property and/or stock materials, and must be free-and-clear of any and all third-party rights). Please, no photography or video.
  • Artists may depict the likenesses of the characters in Spider-Man: Far From Home to the extent such depiction does not contain the likeness of the actors and may include the Spider-Man: Far From Home title treatment logo in their artwork. All rights in and to the characters, title treatment logo and material provided are reserved by Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, Inc. (“CTMG”).
  • Selected Artists may be asked to modify their work to fit production requirements.
  • Selected Artists (defined in Official Rules) shall assign to CTMG and their licensees and assigns all rights, title, and interest in and to the Selected Artists’ submitted artwork. Selected Artists will be required to sign an Assignment and Release Form.
  • The Non-Selected artists retain the copyright as to the original elements only in their work, subject to CTMG’s intellectual property rights to the motion picture elements. By entering the Creative Invite, each artist grants to CTMG a worldwide, unrestricted, non-exclusive, royalty-free license for one (1) year to use the submitted work across CTMG’s various marketing platforms in association with the advertising, marketing and promotion of Spider-Man: Far From Home including without limitation, television, digital and marketing channels, printed materials and merchandise. CTMG will use its best efforts to provide all artists with credit for their work.
  • Artist’s copyright in the work is subject to and restricted by CTMG's underlying rights in the Spider-Man: Far From Home IP defined in the Official Rules, and entrants may make only personal non-commercial use (e.g. portfolio purposes) of the submissions without express written consent from CTMG. In no event, may an entrant obtain a fee, royalty, advertising revenue, or any other payment for the art created pursuant to this Creative Invite.
  • Artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should they be selected.
  • Selected Artists must respond to Talenthouse within two (2) days of receiving the notification email and must timely complete all requested paperwork or else will forfeit all incentives.
  • Talenthouse reserves the right to remove inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions as well as submissions that do not fit the Submission Guidelines as specified herein and in the Official Rules.

Columbia TriStar Marketing Group, Inc. will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines, and Official Rules.

All eligible submissions received will be judged according to the following equally weighted judging criteria: substance; creativity; originality, and adherence to the Spider-Man: Far From Home theme.
