Welcome to the Jam! To amplify the launch of the new film, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc wants to collaborate with you for an exciting art activation!
Create one-of-a-kind static artwork for the new Space Jam: A New Legacy movie inspired by the latest one sheet, character posters and trailer from the film provided via the link below. Celebrate the iconic characters of Space Jam: A New Legacy by evoking the fun, nostalgic, fresh and subversively zany spirit of the film.
Whether it's an illustration, digital painting, or an alternative poster design, the judges are looking for art that embraces the humor, heart and iconic nature of the new film. Check out the film's trailer, character posters and one sheet for more visual inspiration (links below).5 pieces of work will be chosen, and the Selected Creators (as defined in the Official Rules for this Creative Brief - linked below) will receive $2,000 each, and potentially have their work featured across the film's on- and off-line marketing campaign and merchandise.
All submissions should be inspired by the new trailer, character posters and one sheet for the new film Space Jam: A New Legacy and should only reference and depict the characters shown in those materials and only in the same manner as depicted (e.g., not a different outfit or character look). Your work should highlight the iconic characters of Space Jam: A New Legacy by evoking the fun, nostalgic, zany and cheeky spirit of the film.
You may reference Looney Tunes characters, Goon Squad characters (in their cartoon form only) and Lebron James, Don Cheadle, Sonequa Martin-Green and Cedric Joe as live-action talent, but only in the manner as depicted in the supplementary materials provided by Warner Bros. Pictures in this Creative Brief. Any characters or movie properties shown in the materials linked to above that are not the Looney Tunes characters, Goon Squad or above mentioned cast in Space Jam: A New Legacy are prohibited.
Creators may include the Space Jam: A New Legacy title treatment logo in their artwork.
You should only submit work you have created yourself and must not include stock imagery.
You can submit up to 10 times (as long as each submission is distinct from your other submission), so feel free to show us a range of your artwork.
Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc would love to see a time-lapse video of you creating your artwork! This video can be submitted as part of the submission of the static artwork, but will not be judged. Please do not include any music in any part of your submission.

Do not reference other versions of the franchise Looney Tunes characters.
Do not reference characters or use imagery from Space Jam (1996).
Do not reference franchise characters that are not depicted in the new Space Jam: A New Legacy movie materials provided.
Do not reference any NBA or NBA team intellectual property, including team names, protectable color schemes, logos or trademarks, even if associated with case members in the film.

Welcome to the Jam! NBA champion and global icon LeBron James goes on an epic adventure alongside timeless Tune Bugs Bunny with the animated/live-action event Space Jam: A New Legacy, from director Malcolm D. Lee and an innovative filmmaking team including Ryan Coogler and Maverick Carter. This transformational journey is a manic mashup of two worlds that reveals just how far some parents will go to connect with their kids. When LeBron and his young son Dom are trapped in a digital space by a rogue A.I., LeBron must get them home safe by leading Bugs, Lola Bunny and the whole gang of notoriously undisciplined Looney Tunes to victory over the A.I.’s digitized champions on the court: a powered-up roster of professional basketball stars as you’ve never seen them before. It’s Tunes versus Goons in the highest-stakes challenge of his life, that will redefine LeBron’s bond with his son and shine a light on the power of being yourself. The ready-for-action Tunes destroy convention, supercharge their unique talents and surprise even “King” James by playing the game their own way.
5 pieces of work will be chosen by Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc/Space Jam: A New Legacy as Selected Creators. Each will receive:
Potential to receive exposure in an official marketing asset for the Film, possibly promoted across social accounts and/or used in print materials outdoor advertising (e.g. billboards, murals) and merchandise (e.g. t-shirts).
$2,000 USD for each piece selected
Except as detailed elsewhere in this Creative Brief, all submissions must be original artwork (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright and/or stock materials). Any time-lapse video submitted at the time of entry will not be considered as part of the judging.
Multiple submissions (up to 10) are allowed. Creator teams are not allowed.
How to submit: Click on the ‘Participate’ tab and follow the instructions. Static imagery must be uploaded as JPEG or PNG and time-lapse videos must be uploaded in MP4 format (max. size 10MB). No photography please.
Creators should retain their original artwork files in the highest quality possible but designs must be submitted in JPEG, PNG, MP4 max. size 10MB.
Please note, that during the Submission Period, submissions may be featured on Space Jam: A New Legacy, Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc and Warner Media social media and other channels and credit may be given to the creator. Submissions may need to be cropped or edited for such purposes.
Selected Creators must sign a Contributor’s Agreement and submit a completed Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc Creative Asset Data Sheet (“CAD”) that is approved by Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. in order to have a chance for selection.
All creators, whether Selected Creators or not, retain ownership only in the original portions of their Work (defined in the Official Rules) that do not contain or are not derivative of Space Jam: A New Legacy IP. There is no assignment of any intellectual property rights in your work to Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. However, by submitting your work, you hereby grant to Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., its parent, affiliates and subsidiaries, and each of their respectives licensees and assigns, a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license for three (3) years from the date the Work is submitted in response to this Creative Brief for the purpose of using your submitted work across their various marketing platforms in association with Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc and Space Jam: A New Legacy generally.
In exchange for the incentives set forth above, the Selected Creators grant Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., its parent, affiliates and subsidiaries, and each of their respective licensees and assigns, a worldwide, exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license from the date the Work is submitted in response to this Creative Brief to use the submitted Work across their various marketing and distribution platforms, including without limitation, printed materials, outdoor billboards, murals and merchandise, such as t-shirts, in all media now known or hereafter devised.
Selected Creators will be required to sign releases, a license agreement and an awardee agreement and provide a creative asset data sheet.
Don't include anything that could be interpreted as sexually explicit, racist, pornographic, sexist, political, discriminating, religious, or offensive. Also, all works must comply with the submission requirements detailed in the Official Rules (linked below)
During the selection period, Talenthouse may reach out to those being shortlisted. Creators must respond to Talenthouse within forty-eight (48) hours or else the creator may forfeit all incentives (in Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc’ sole discretion). For the verification, the creator may be asked to provide the original files of your work and a scan of your ID.
Talenthouse reserves the right to disqualify inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions as well as submissions that do not fit the brief and follow the guidelines or Official Rules.
