Insidious: The Last Key is the newest installment in the Insidious franchise coming to theaters in a few months! This movie follows Elise Rainier as she investigates recent supernatural disturbances occurring in the Southwest of the United States. This movie takes place 2nd chronologically after the 3rd movie in the series.

To amplify the launch of the movie in January 2018, Sony Pictures is creating an art activation campaign leading up to this movie’s release, and they want to collaborate with you!

Visual artists from around the world are invited to create artwork inspired by the dark, haunting, and mysterious universe of Insidious: The Last Key.

Whether it's a painting, an animated GIF or an alternative poster design, the judging panel is looking for captivating and imaginative artwork to help drive promotion and excitement socially across the movie's marketing and digital channels.

Five selected pieces of artwork may be featured in Insidious: The Last Key's international marketing campaign leading up to the release of the movie. The Selected Artists will receive $2,000 for each piece selected.
submission requirements

The Work must adhere to the following creative themes:

  • Because the movie spotlights the character Dr. Elise Rainier as a child and uncovers some of her history, Artists are encouraged to create stylized alternate posters as if the movie were being realized in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, or even the early 2000s.
  • Artists may not reference characters/storylines from previous movies.
  • Artists are able to use the approved stills, the international trailer, and the Insidious: The Last Key Title Treatment in their artwork.*
  • Artists should watch the trailer and check out the movie’s Facebook page for additional inspiration.
*Please note that artists are able to use the approved stills and the international trailer as a point of reference but only the Title Treatment can be used in the artwork as such.
