Create Artwork inspired by Chaos Walking
From the director of The Bourne Identity and Edge of Tomorrow and based on the best-selling novel The Knife of Never Letting Go, comes Chaos Walking, starring Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland, with Mads Mikkelsen, Nick Jonas, Cynthia Erivo, and David Oyelowo.
Lionsgate is looking to amplify the upcoming theatrical release of Chaos Walking by teaming up with fans and creators across the globe to create beautiful, event-worthy art pieces inspired by the latest trailer, imagery, posters, book series, and the film’s themes.
We encourage creators and designers to create a piece of static artwork that is one-of-a-kind that can be in the form of an illustration, an alternate movie poster, or a digital painting inspired by the key themes of the film.

- Your submission should be inspired by these key themes & characters:
- 'The Noise', Action-Adventure Thriller in a Sci-Fi Setting, Todd & Viola and ancillary characters

- Your submission should capture as well as the themes and characters the beautiful sci-fi element and mystery that comes from Todd's thoughts being on display
- Your submission can be in either landscape or portrait, digitally created as layered AI or PSD files, min 120 dpi. We do not want to limit your creativity and are open to your interpretation!
- Watch the films trailer and check out the social channels linked below for inspiration in your artwork
- Your work should appeal to Action & Sci-Fi fans, between the ages of 13-44
- Keep in mind your work will potentially be used for digital social use across Chaos Walking’s channels and campaign
- You can reference the asset pack for inspiration on characters, but please do not use these images directly in your work
- You can depict the likeness of characters in Chaos Walking, but stay true to the character's appearance
- Please note, all use of talent likeness within submitted pieces will be subject to talent approval prior to Selected Creators being chosen
- You must include the full film title, you may either use the provided title treatment or a creative interpretation of the title, “Chaos Walking”
- Don't include references to any people (excluding Chaos Walking characters), dangerous situations, other brands, show/imply alcohol or drunkenness, anything offensive or violence
- Tell us about your inspiration in the 'Description' field in your submission

About the Chaos Walking & Lionsgate
In the not too distant future, Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland) discovers Viola (Daisy Ridley), a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by “the noise” – a force that puts all their thoughts on display. 5 pieces of artwork, as chosen by Lionsgate, will be selected. The Selected Creators will:
- Potentially have their artwork featured in Chaos Walking's marketing campaign
- Potentially receive exposure for their artwork across Chaos Walking's digital and marketing channels
- Receive $2,000 for each piece of artwork selected
Creative Brief Guidelines
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. AN INTERNET CONNECTION IS REQUIRED.
Who is eligible: This opportunity is open globally to those who are at least 18 years of age and the age of majority at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law.
Limit fifteen (15) submissions per creator or team. Creator teams allowed.
Creators should retain their original artwork files in the highest quality possible but designs must be submitted in JPEG or PNG, max. size 10MB.
All submissions must be original artwork which is not inspired by or based on third-party artwork (and may not contain third party materials or intellectual property and/or stock materials, and must be free-and-clear of any and all third-party rights). Please, no photography or video.
Creators may depict the likenesses of the characters in Chaos Walking. All rights in and to the characters and material provided are reserved by Lionsgate.
The Non-Selected Creators retain the copyright as to the original elements only in their artwork, subject to Lionsgate's intellectual property rights to the motion picture elements. By entering the Creative Brief, each creator grants to Lionsgate a worldwide, unrestricted, non-exclusive, royalty-free license for one (1) year to use the submitted artwork across Lionsgate' various marketing platforms in association with the advertising, marketing and promotion of Chaos Walking including without limitation digital and marketing channels. Lionsgate will use its best efforts to provide all creators with credit for their artwork.
Submissions will not be visible to the public until after the announcement.
We advise you to carefully read the "Things to Consider" section above.
- Selected Creators may be asked to modify their artwork to fit production requirements.
- Selected Creators (defined in Official Rules found below) shall assign to Lionsgate and their licensees and assign all rights, title, and interest in and to the Selected Creators’ submitted artwork. Selected Creators will be required to sign an Assignment and Release Form and an Awardee Agreement.
- Creator's copyright in the artwork is subject to and restricted by Lionsgate's underlying rights in the Chaos Walking IP defined in the Official Rules, and entrants may make only personal non-commercial use (e.g. portfolio purposes, social channels) of the submissions without express written consent from Lionsgate. In no event, may an entrant obtain a fee, royalty, advertising revenue, or any other payment for the art created pursuant to this Creative Brief.
- Please provide an active email address when registering with Talenthouse to ensure you can be contacted should you be selected.
- During the selection period, Talenthouse will reach out to those being shortlisted. You must respond to Talenthouse within forty-eight (48) hours or else you will forfeit all incentives. For the verification, you will be asked to provide the original files of your artwork and a scan of your ID.
- Talenthouse reserves the right to remove inappropriate, offensive, and harmful submissions as well as submissions that do not fit the brief, these guidelines or Official Rules (see below).
