From the producers of The Invisible Man and Happy Death Day, written and directed by Zoe Lister-Jones, Blumhouse’s The Craft: Legacy (2020) invites you to let the Halloween rituals begin again!

To summon the launch of Blumhouse’s new film, The Craft: Legacy, creators are invited to collaborate and submit artwork for an exciting creative activation!

Create one-of-a-kind artwork for Blumhouse’s The Craft: Legacy inspired by the latest imagery and trailer from the upcoming film.

Whether it's an illustration, a digital painting, or even an alternative poster design, the judges are looking for captivating, original, and bewitching artwork. 5 pieces of artwork will be chosen as Selected Creators receive $2,000 each. Selected artwork will potentially be featured in the film's marketing campaign, including social accounts, print materials, murals, and merchandise.
things to consider
  • Embrace the "Halloween" theme in your artwork
  • You may use imagery from Blumhouse’s The Craft: Legacy trailer and images in this asset pack for inspiration; please don't augment these images directly; please don't edit or manipulate the provided assets, or use them directly in your artwork
  • Avoid any imagery with violence, gore or weapons
  • Highlight the coven’s witchcraft powers
  • Consider identifying each girl’s element and compass point to build mythology and their powers (they are stronger together than alone)
  • Your artwork should include the film's full title and any tag lines; this can be the assets provided or your own creative interpretation
  • Your artwork should be inspired by this 2020 film; please don't include any reference to the 1996 original
  • Please be aware, any use of talent likeness within artworks will be subject to talent approval prior to an incentive award
The Incentives
5 pieces of artwork will be selected. The Selected Creators will:
  • Potentially have their artwork featured in Blumhouse’s The Craft: Legacy marketing campaign
  • Potentially receive exposure for their artwork across Blumhouse’s The Craft: Legacy digital and marketing channels including print materials and merchandise
  • Receive $2,000 for each piece of artwork selected

about the The Craft: Legacy

In Blumhouse’s continuation of the cult hit The Craft, an eclectic foursome of aspiring teenage witches get more than they bargained for as they lean into their newfound powers. Written and directed by Zoe Lister-Jones, the film stars Cailee Spaeny, Gideon Adlon, Lovie Simone, Zoey Luna, Nicholas Galitzine, with Michelle Monaghan and David Duchovny. Blumhouse and Red Wagon Entertainment are producing the film for Columbia Pictures.

Creative Brief Guidelines
  • NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. AN INTERNET CONNECTION IS REQUIRED.
  • Who is eligible: This opportunity is open globally and you need to be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction of primary residence at the time of submission. Employees and their immediate family and household members of Columbia Pictures and TLNT (Talenthouse, Ello and Zooppa) are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited by law.
  • Limit ten (10) submissions per creator or team. Creator teams allowed.
  • How to submit: Click on the ‘Participate’ tab and follow the instructions. Your work must be submitted in JPEG or PNG format, max. size 10 MB. Please retain your original layered artwork files in the highest quality possible. Please no photography or video.
  • All submissions must be original artwork which is not inspired by or based on third-party artwork (and may not contain third party materials or intellectual property and/or stock materials, and must be free-and-clear of any and all third-party rights). Please, no photography or video.
  • Creators may depict the likenesses of the characters in The Craft: Legacy and may include the The Craft: Legacy title treatment in their artwork. All rights in and to the characters, title treatment logo and material provided are reserved by Blumhouse.
  • The Non-Selected Creators retain the copyright as to the original elements only in their artwork, subject to Blumhouse’s intellectual property rights to the motion picture elements. By entering the Creative Brief, each creator grants to Blumhouse a worldwide, unrestricted, non-exclusive, royalty-free license for one (1) year to use the submitted artwork across Blumhouse’s various marketing platforms in association with the advertising, marketing and promotion of The Craft: Legacy including without limitation digital and marketing channels. Blumhouse will use its best efforts to provide all creators with credit for their artwork.
  • During the Submission Period, Columbia Pictures may share submissions on their owned social channels with credit given to the creator where possible.
  • Submissions will not be visible to the public until after the announcement.
  • We advise you to carefully read the "Things to Consider" section above.

  • Selected Creators may be asked to modify their artwork to fit production requirements.
  • Please add a short description in English explaining the inspiration behind your work. Please use the 'Say something about your submission' section within your submission.
  • Selected Creators (defined in Official Rules found below) shall assign to Columbia and their licensees and assigns all rights, title, and interest in and to the Selected Creators’ submitted artwork. Selected Creators will be required to sign an Assignment and Release Form and an Awardee Agreement.
  • Creator's copyright in the artwork is subject to and restricted by Columbia's underlying rights in The Craft: Legacy IP defined in the Official Rules, and entrants may make only personal non-commercial use (e.g. portfolio purposes, social channels) of the submissions without express written consent from Columbia. In no event, may an entrant obtain a fee, royalty, advertising revenue, or any other payment for the art created pursuant to this Creative Brief.
  • Please provide an active email address when registering with Talenthouse to ensure you can be contacted should you be selected.
  • During the selection period, Talenthouse will reach out to those being shortlisted. You must respond to Talenthouse within forty-eight (48) hours or else you will forfeit all incentives. For the verification, you will be asked to provide the original files of your artwork and a scan of your ID.
  • Talenthouse reserves the right to remove inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions as well as submissions that do not fit the brief, these guidelines or Official Rules (see below).

how Columbia Pictures will choose
Columbia Pictures will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one that meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines, and Official Rules.

All eligible submissions received will be judged according to the following equally weighted judging criteria: substance; creativity; originality, and adherence to The Craft: Legacy theme.
