THE ALBUM

On his new album Treasures Of Bel Canto Rolando Villazón interprets classic compositions by Gaetano Donizetti, Vincenzo Bellini, Giacomo Rossini and Giuseppe Verdi like they’ve never been heard before.

"When singing, I could hear an orchestra in my head", says Rolando Villazón. While working on this album the singer was inspired by the contemporary timbre and harmony of the Italian composer Luciano Berio which lead to a new but wonderfully fitting relationship between old and new.
