Capture the spirit of Halloween

It's almost that time of year...shadows are lurking, spells are brewing, and creatures are prowling about for the ruin of souls...

Well, maybe not quite, but we are ready to dive into the Halloween spirit!

To celebrate all the ghastly delight that is ghouls and ghosts, costumes and trick-or-treating, myths and legends, we are inviting your best art inspired by All Hallows’ Eve and Dia de los Muertos.

Whether they are bone-chilling or “aww” inducing, submissions may be a variety of mediums including graphic design, illustration, GIFs and animation.

We’re looking for great quality work that would perform well on social media channels, namely Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.

A number of stand out pieces will be selected and shared across the Talenthouse social media channels reaching over 2 million people worldwide. There is also a unique opportunity for your work to be licensed directly by brands and publishers in need of original images surrounding Halloween and Dia de los Muertos. All pieces submitted may also be presented to brand and media partners for further opportunities.
DO
  • Do create artwork that is well-suited for social media sharing (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
  • Do think about the brief as a celebration of international holidays, including Halloween and Dia de los Muertos
  • You may submit up to 10 works. Feel free to submit existing artwork or something you have created specifically for this brief.
  • Do look at this mood board for inspiration.
Don't
  • Do not use any copyrighted material.
  • Do not depict other people unless you have a release form from each person depicted.
  • Do not submit photography.

This new format of the Creative Invite will be focused around a key theme or event and will only be live for a short amount of time! The submission period might only be 1 or 2 weeks, calling for your best artwork in exchange for exposure on Talenthouse social channels. Think of it as a regular creative challenge. This is the first in a series, so keep your eyes peeled for more Flash Creative Invites for your opportunity to create amazing artwork.

Talenthouse will select a number of stand out pieces. Selected Artists will:
  • Be featured across all Talenthouse social media channels reaching a total audience of more than 2 million people
  • Be featured in the Talenthouse Magazine
  • Receive the opportunity to license their work directly to brands and publishers

creative invite guidelines
  • This opportunity is open globally to those who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Void where prohibited by law.
  • Limit ten (10) submissions per artist or artist team.
  • All submissions must be original (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright and/or stock materials) but can be pre-existing or created especially for this opportunity.
  • Artists should retain their original files in the highest quality possible. Illustrations and GIFs must be submitted via the "Participate tab" in JPEG, PNG or GIF max size 10MB, animations must be uploaded using the Talenthouse player.
  • If any persons appear or are referred to in the submission, the artist is solely responsible for obtaining, prior to submitting, all necessary usage rights and permissions for the contents of their submission. Proof will be required if selected.
  • Please read the Do's and Dont's carefully.
  • No photography please.
  • All artists retain ownership of their work. However, by submitting you hereby grant Talenthouse a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use your submissions across Talenthouse's channels. All artists will be credited accordingly.
  • Artists must join Talenthouse using an active email address in order to ensure they can be contacted should a brand or publisher show interest in their submissions.
  • Talenthouse reserves the right to remove inappropriate, offensive and harmful submissions as well as submissions that do not fit the brief, guidelines or Official Rules.
  • No purchase necessary to enter.
How Talenthouse will choose
Talenthouse will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.
