A NOTE FROM THE HOST / SELECTED ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT

Thank you for participating in our 'Stressed' Skin Creative Invite. We're thrilled to have received a number of inspiring submissions from the Talenthouse community and it was a joy to read through each and every one of your submissions. Our heartfelt congratulations goes to the following Selected Artists whose ideas we'll use to inspire our Research & Development team:
  • Katerina Sidorova, Russia
  • Natasha Shu, Russia
  • Marjana Surducki, Serbia
  • Selcuk Gucer, Turkey
  • Chris Nixon, United Kingdom.

A leading global beauty company is inviting you to disrupt the beauty industry by developing a new never-seen-before skincare brand and product for 'stressed' fluctuating skin.

Everything that impacts you physically, emotionally, mentally and even environmentally reflects on your skin. The condition of 'stressed' skin fluctuates and it doesn't lie when you've had too much junk food, very little sleep or when you're simply overworked! To appeal to young, educated global women of today, we are looking for product ideas that would trigger instant results.

Using the two templates provided, your submission should be in English and include the following:
• Rough mock-up of pack shape and form
• Brand name
• Headline or tagline
• A brief write-up about your product idea
• A visual expression that brings your product idea to life

The host will select five submissions. The selected ideas will potentially inspire the final product and the Selected Artists will be rewarded with $2,000 for each idea selected.

You have the power to invent a brand new beauty innovation. The future of the beauty industry is in your hands. Time to get your creative juices flowing!
THINGS TO CONSIDER
  • Target Audience: Educated, working millennial women globally aged 18-35 who lead an active lifestyle and are incredibly busy multitasking that they feel their skincare products are unable to keep up with their skin. With their endless checklist of life goals in the time of pressure and uncertainty, millennials are also known to be the most stressed-out generation. They see signs of stress in their fluctuating skin and nothing they do fixes it sustainably or can make their skin resilient to these issues. Their main goal is to be able to take charge of their skin, see almost instant results so that they're ready #forthegram anytime!
  • Each submission should include the two templates provided for this brief. All submissions to be in English. The write-up to describe your idea should be as detailed as possible. Do include your proposed product name, its nomenclature, the sensory cues perceived by the receiver (scents, visuals, etc.), your thought process and even rationale.
  • Ensure that your submission is a new skincare brand and product for 'stressed' fluctuating skin. Skin fluctuation is when there is unevenness present in the skin condition.
  • Solutions for 'stressed' skin are different as compared to the current skincare categories of ‘anti aging’ and ‘tone/whitening’ because the fluctuations are short term and so the skincare needs to work almost instantly, but also improve skin quality over time.
  • You are encouraged to rethink the skincare category. The host is looking for submissions that will disrupt the industry's existing ecosystem. Solutions may need to go beyond current paradigms of skincare like morning and night rituals only.
  • You do not need to delve into product ingredients. However, you should suggest a product pack and form. Remember that this is all about innovation, so think about any type of product forms that may relieve 'stressed' skin e.g. vapours, mists, DIY micro-surgeries, creams, masks, serum etc.
  • Your brand and product idea needs to fit with the target audience's busy, fast paced lifestyle (e.g. time sensitive, work well with make-up etc.) and needs to be of high performance (not just holistic health or natural centric). Keep in mind that the user wants to SEE and FEEL improvement in their skin.
THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY
The host will select five ideas. The Selected Artists will:
