Create Limited Edition designs for Harrogate to celebrate the Royal Albert Hall’s 150th Anniversary in 2021
Harrogate Spring is Britain’s oldest bottled water, with a history dating back to 1571. Passionate about their originality and distinctiveness, Harrogate Spring wants to provide a unique opportunity to see how creatives from all over the world interpret their brand and celebrate their valued partnership with the Royal Albert Hall.
Harrogate Spring would like to see one design that will sit on both Harrogate Spring Still and Sparkling 500ml PET bottles. The chosen limited-edition bottles will be available to buy at the RAH and across Harrogate Spring’s customer base throughout 2021/22.

1 piece of work will be chosen as the Selected Creators and receive £4,000, and 2 pieces of work will be chosen as Finalists, and receive £1,000 each

First bottled in 1740, it is ‘The Original British Bottled Water’ from ‘The Original British Spa Town’. Harrogate is Internationally-renowned as one of the finest still and sparkling spring waters. Awarded ‘Best Sparkling Water in the World’, Harrogate is recognised not only for its exceptional mineral balance and purity but also for its distinctive, classically British style.
Harrogate Spring operates one of the most technologically-advanced and environmentally-efficient facilities in the world, sending zero waste to landfill since 2010. All bottle components are 100% recyclable, made with 51% recycled content and sourced from within 90 miles of site.
In 2020, they became the first company in North Yorkshire to achieve B Corp accreditation, joining a group of businesses acting in a sustainable and transparent way, achieving the highest environmental and social standards.

Over the past 149 years, it has hosted everyone from Albert Einstein to Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles to Beyoncé, Churchill to Chvrches (we could go on). Last year, its breathtaking auditorium presented 391 events by the world’s greatest performers – taking in rock, pop and classical music, theatre, dance, films, Cirque du Soleil and even tennis – with the magical setting and inspired artists creating amazing memories for audiences.
Opened in 1871 to fulfil Prince Albert’s vision of a central hall to promote the arts and sciences, the Hall is a registered charity that remains true to his founding ambitions while looking to the future. With 1.8 million visitors a year, ‘the nation’s village hall’ is the world’s busiest venue, while its 1,000 events in secondary spaces help to welcome a young, diverse audience to the Hall.

Harrogate Spring will select from all qualified submissions. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules. A panel of judges from Harrogate Spring and RAH (with potential to include a special guest judge, Friend of RAH) to select shortlist of submissions and vote on the selected design. Harrogate Spring may share selected designs throughout the submission process to run opinion polls on their social channels. This will help support decision making in the final judging process
The judging criteria is based on Creativity (30%), Originality (35%) and Overall Understanding of the theme (35%).
