Create Fan Art for the DC FanDome Event
A Note From the DC:
DC FanDome, a first-of-its kind, virtual experience for DC superfans around the world, was a lot to handle in one day! It turned out to be so massive that with so many hours of programming, not even The Flash could get through it in 24 hours!
In order to super-serve the fans and provide the best possible experience, DC FanDome has been expanded into two global events — the first on August 22nd - DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes, and a second on-demand experience in DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse on September 12th, where fans can create and curate their own adventure. And -- fans can now teleport their FanDome experience as both will be accessible across all mobile platforms (in addition to desktop). Please pay note, to the new Selected Creator Announcement date: Sept. 21, 2020.
Fans around the world will now be able to vote on September 12th (instead of August 22nd) for their favorite finalists in both the ‘Create static fan art for the DC FanDome event contest’ and ‘Show us your DC Fandom contest’ within DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse. Vote to help select the winning creators on 9.12.2020 by registering for the event and following the instructions at schedule.DCFanDome.com/vote.
- The DC TeamTo celebrate the incredible DC Multiverse, DC invites you to participate in an exciting art activation that will be a part of the first of its kind, 24-hour global event, DC FanDome -- a massive virtual fan-first experience that will bring DC fans on all seven continents together.
Create one-of-a-kind artwork for DC inspired by your favorite characters and films. Celebrate the legacy of the DC Multiverse and create artwork that showcases the dynamic and powerful Super Heroes and Super-Villains.
Whether it's an illustration, digital painting, or poster mashing up imagery from two or more eligible characters, the judges are looking for art that celebrates the characters, legacy, and scope of the DC Multiverse. Check out some of the past DC Talenthouse entries for visual inspiration (artwork below).
Selected Finalists will be on display digitally within the DC FanDome virtual event in August and fans from around the world will vote on their favorite Finalists to help our judges select the winners. There will be 27 Finalists. 5 pieces of work will be chosen (see “Things to Consider”), and the Selected Creators will receive USD $2,000 each, and potentially have their work featured across select DC on- and off-line marketing campaigns and merchandise.
DC will select a group of 27 Finalists to be featured within the DC FanDome. During the virtual event in August 2020, global fans will vote on their favorite Finalists to help our judges select the (5) Selected Creators. The final (5) Selected Creators will be based off skill, DC executive review.
