Audrey Doherty studied Fashion & Textiles and Millinery at Shepperton Arts Center, North London and honed her millinery skills at Kensington & Chelsea College/South Bank University under Kirsten Scott and other leading London milliners who led the various course projects. Audrey also studied Theatrical Millinery under Jane Smith, a high profile milliner in the film & TV industry. Her work experience was undertaken with Pip Hackett and accessories designer, Suzanne Cooper. Audrey had participated in a major Wedding Show at The Savoy Hotel, had her work featured in several national and international television documentaries and industry publications, and she was supplying independent and high-end Bridal boutiques in London by the time she graduated her course. Audrey's Final Collection show was entitled 'Works of the Heart', a collection of fantasy Bridal headdress inspired by tropical and desert plant life and a study project on natural, cultured and freshwater pearls. Audrey is now based in the north of Ireland and continues to design millinery. She also teaches and runs SolasTobann ArtHouse B&B Accomodation with her partner artist Philip McFadden in MalinHead, Co.Donegal
