We've come to the end of the week and the sun has finally started to shine bright here in LA. With the excitement of summer just around the corner, the Talenthouse Team took some time to watch the first of summer blockbusters, Logan, watched the history of animation and a funny video hinting to a Rick and Morty season 3. Have a look at all the things the team was up to this week!

Logan, by 20th Century Fox
Wow. That was all I can say after watching Logan this past weekend. The X-Men movie franchise has been one of favorite superhero franchises. The Wolverine spin-off franchise though has severely disappointed me with it's first two films. When I first saw the trailer for Logan, set perfectly to the voice of Johnny Cash, my excitement level shot through the roof. I had very high hopes going into the midnightshowing for the film last week.
When the film ended, I felt like giving it a standing ovation. Never has a superhero film touched me so emotionally. From the opening scene to it's final one, the film had me glued to the screen from start to finish. It wasn't just a great superhero film, it was a great movie in general, period. Hugh Jackson final performance as Wolverine was phenomenal. Patrick Stewart and newcomer Dafne Keen (who played X-23) were also highlights of the film. Hands down, Logan is the best X-Men movie ever made and my favorite film so far in 2017.

The Evolution of 2D Animation by The Solomon Society
Animation is becoming more lifelike over the years, but this video proves that it doesn’t make the creations from yesteryear any less magical. The Solomon Society has produced a supercut of animation films from 1833 to 1990, and it’s remarkable witnessing the cartoons that made the childhoods of the generations before us. Watch the moving clip below.

TV Show

Rick and Morty, by Justin Roiland & Dan Harmon
Fans of the infamous TV show Rick and Morty have been anxioulsy waiting for any news of season 3, me being one of them. This past week Adult Swim released a YouTube video of GlorpDieBlorp playing a game named “Ten Tuesdays at Tinkles.” The video itself resembles Twitch.tv's live game stream interface with fictional banner ads at the bottom. In the fake side comments you can read the hints of the long awaited season 3. The show went as far as creating a fake website for the fake ads in the video! Here is a link to the fake website which leads to a Reddit like forum with a bunch of funny videos (http://galacticfederation.com). Justin Roiland & Dan Harmon and Adult Swim really pulled out all the bells and whistles for the announcement, I can wait to see the new season, easily one of the best animated shows ever.
