Hey everyone, it's the Talenthouse team again and between launching great new Creative Invites and getting ready for some new ones, we still managed to watch some talented kids on YouTube, finally watched Hacksaw Ridge and discovered new art exhibits in Coachella Valley for Desert X. Take a look at what the team was up to this week!

"People are Awesome 2017, Kids Edition," by People Are Awesome
If you are having a “bad day” and need a smile, take a look at what some kids are doing with their spare time. Desire, hard work, and persistence come together to give us some awesome performances, even in children that look too young to be doing these things.

Hacksaw Ridge, Directed by Mel Gibson
I didn't get a chance to see Hacksaw Ridge while it was in theaters, but I heard so many great things about the film. I have even heard people say that this is the best war film since Saving Private Ryan. I am huge fan of war films and Saving Private Ryan is one of my favorite films of all time so hearing the reviews definitely increased my curiosity.
I watched the movie this past weekend and was thoroughly impressed. It's not better than Saving Private Ryan, but it's still a very good war movie in its own right. I went into the movie fresh without knowing anything about it and was instantly captivated by Desmond Doss' life story. Andrew Garfield's performance as Doss was one of the best highlights from the film. The adversity that this individual had to overcome throughout his life was so inspiring, it had me rooting for him from start to finish. I commend director Mel Gibson for bringing to life Desmond Doss' incredible story as it's definitely a powerful story worth sharing to the world.
