In collaboration with BBC and BBC Creative, Talenthouse asked UK creators to design poster artwork for Peaky Blinders inspired by the main characters. There were over 1,200 amazing submissions from artists that participated, out of which 16 creators' posters were selected in the end by BBC. The Selected Creators were Adam Martin, Alex Coyle, Alice Matthews, Ben Wills, Graham Nash, Harry Ward, Holly Reynolds, James Mundy, Liam Proniewicz, Luke Walker, Matt Clough, Pete Carroll, Samantha Ding, Sue Verity, Tahlia Preece and Yvonne Bently. Not only were these artists compensated, but their artwork was also featured across the UK digitally and even with billboards! Check out some of the brilliant billboards and an exclusive quote from the Peaky Blinders Team below.
"We were so blown away by the incredible artwork created by fans of Peaky Blinders. There were so many unique and thoughtful interpretations of the characters and themes in the show and each piece left us feeling inspired.
With over 1000 UK entries it was really difficult to choose just a few favourites but we picked out 16 finalists whose work will be featured across BBC digital, online, social platforms and in a nationwide out-of-home (OOH) campaign. Two of the artists will also have their work turned into murals at the Custard Factory in Birmingham and in Shoreditch, London.
We want to say a massive thank you to each and every artist who submitted a piece, and of course for being fans of the show."-The Peaky Blinders Team / BBC Creative
