TH: What should artists know about the Chivas 18 Years Old Ultimate Casks Collection before starting their designs?
  Chivas 18 Years Old is a uniquely rich and multi-layered blend created by Custodian Master Blender, Colin Scott, in 1997. It is crafted using malt and grain whiskies from distilleries all over Scotland, including our classic Speyside malt from Strathisla. It has 85 identifiable flavours in every drop. It is a celebration of complexity!

TH: What’s different about these new products in the Ultimate Casks Collection?
Chivas Regal Ultimate Cask Collection is a series of limited editions, exclusive to Travel Retail, released under the Chivas 18 brand franchise magnifying some of the key flavour notes of the original Chivas 18 Years Old via a unique cask finish. The first edition was launched in 2016 with a first fill American oak finish to release the smoothest notes of Chivas Regal 18 Years Old. Followed by a first fill French oak finish to release the nutty and chocolaty notes of the whisky, and the latest edition currently available, is a first fill Japanese oak finish to release the fruity and spicy notes of Chivas Regal 18 Years Old. We are taking the concept to another level with the creation of wine cask finish editions.



TH: Why do you want to engage the Talenthouse creator community in this Ultimate Casks Collection brief?
We love Talenthouse’s model, it’s us such a great alternative to traditional design agencies! The Ultimate Casks Collection are limited editions available globally and exclusively in airports, so we felt that the working with the Talenthouse community was a great opportunity to get different cultural perspectives and the brief and to leverage the talents of creators from all artistic backgrounds.

TH: Is there anything creator's should steer away from/would feel off-brand for Chivas 18 Years Old?
 The brief already gives a very comprehensive understanding of what should or shouldn't be considered, so now it is all about the creators imagination and interpretation!
