Southern Italian artist Giuseppe Palmisano  grew up in the theatre and in front of the camera,  now he directs models and actors through his photography and feels at home behind the camera, for once.

TH: How much planning goes into each of your works?
GP: Usually I do not plan my works, I rather prefer playing with models- improvising. All is spontaneous and it comes naturally. It's not only a photo, it's a sort of a photographic "act" instead. It's all very theatrical.

TH: What’s your greatest source of inspiration?
GP: I used to work in the theatre, from which I get most of my inspiration. I use Guy Bourdin as inspiration and all walks of life.

TH: Once you finished a piece of art, what do you do?
GP: Being an actor, when I finish a piece of work, I feel the need to show it to the public, receive comments and feelings about what I created.

TH: Do you think artists see the world differently than people who do not create art?
GP: I think artists do not see world differently (however, they surely have a different perception). Instead, artists have the ability to create what they see in the world.
