|WHAT IT IS||The Stan Lee Foundation invites designers to submit their designs for the official logo for the newly formed charity, The Stan Lee Foundation. The logo will be used to represent the charity in all of its communications.|
|WHO IT'S FOR||The Stan Lee Foundation is seeking designers who can create a logo that will represent the Stan Lee Foundation and Stan’s dedication to the literary arts.|
|WHO IT’S FROM||Stan Lee, creator of Spider Man, X-Men, The Fantastic Four, and Iron Man, is considered by many to be the godfather of the comic book industry. His career in comic books spans more than 60 years, and it has always been defined by his passion for and dedication to excellence in the literary arts. The Stan Lee Foundation is a charity committed to promoting literacy, education, and the arts.|
|HOW THE WINNER WILL BE CHOSEN||The Stan Lee Foundation will select the winner from the pool of outstanding submissions. The top voted submissions will become finalists, however the Stan Lee Foundation may also look beyond these finalists to select the submission that they feel best fits their requirements.|
|WHAT THE WINNER WILL GET||The winning logo design will be used on the charity's communication pieces, such as business cards, letterheads and may be used as its service mark. The winner will receive travel and accommodation to New York, where he or she will be presented with an award by Stan Lee at Comic Con New York in October 2010.|

|DETAILS||Submissions must NOT include any Marvel characters (such as Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four). The design must be totally original and unique. No existing characters of any sort can be included. The logo can be an emblem on its own, or it can be an emblem with the Stan Lee Foundation wording.
Stan Lee, while advising the Foundation creatively, when asked to do so, is neither a director officer of employee, nor does he monitor the day to day affairs of the Foundation.
