Bio Katharina Schirk was born in Austria 1989.

She has composed for various scorings since her twelfth year. Beginning with works commissioned for the competition \"Prima la Musica\" up to national and international composition compeditions, of wich she won several, her works have been already performed in venues such as the Glass Hall at Vienna´s Musikverein or the Haydn Hall at the Esterhazy place. Her works have been presented not only in Austria, but also in Japan, Portugal, the Netherlands, Hungary, Thailand and Indonesia.

She studied cello with Diethard Auner at the conservatory of Wiener Neustadt and is currently finishing her concert and pedagogic studies with Othmar Müller (Artis Quartett). She teaches the cello and early music-education at tree Lower Austria music schools.

In 2007 , a piano collection- \"Curtains Up\" (Doblinger/Vienna)- wich includes her piece \"The Little Rhinoceros\", was published by Doblinger/Vienna.

In 2009 \"My Cello invites to dance\"- 6 Recital Pieces for the First Years for Cello & Piano was published by Doblinger/Vienna.
