Bio Recognized for a musical maturity and artistic vision far surpassed her years, cellist Reenat Pinchas brings enthusiasm and vigor to the stage. Her dynamic and innovative performances of music ranging from classical to rock n’ roll captivate audiences and secure her position as a vibrant force among today’s musicians.

Classically trained throughout most of her life, Reenat is now making a name for herself as her generation's "rock" cellist. Her most recent projects have taken inspiration from rock n' roll legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Radiohead. From her fun and groovy attitude to her use of new techniques that break the conventions of her instrument, she performs in cool, funky spaces giving her audience more than just a concert, but a real "experience."

A native New Yorker, Reenat first appeared as a soloist with orchestras at age ten and has since concertized throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America. A graduate of The Juilliard School & Rice University, Reenat has studied with world-renowned cellist Lynn Harrell, Bonnie Hampton and Chagit Glaser.

A talented pianist and vocalist, Reenat is also an up-and-coming singer/songwriter - keep a lookout for her upcoming performances!

Hobbies include writing poetry, children's stories, and black & white photography.

Influences Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Pink Floyd, Radiohead...at the moment - oh, and of course kirsty almeida!
