Through out my life, my biggest inspiration has always come from the every day life and ordinary people carrying on around me. All the art and design in the world can be found in the small details of a person's face that makes them different from the billions of others, the texture of our surroundings, the way in which our bodies move and function, and most of all...the way we interact among ourselves. When I take a photo, I am never seeking to just create a pretty, pleasing picture. A photo, while a 2d piece of art, never falls flat. It is nearly limitless in the amount of emotion, life, and feeling it can possess. When someone looks at my work, whether it is a picture of a building that is falling apart, or a model, I want them to be able to feel the mood, the light, the texture, the moment. I want them to feel inspired by a natural beauty that is in all of us and can't be replicated.
Bio I am 23 years old, I just celebrated my last birthday ever in the midwest. [Yes, the last ever]. I went to school for three years for journalism and spanish before realizing if I don't do what I am passionate about, I am never going to be successful or happy. Right now, I work two jobs to get by, while studying fashion, art history, photography, and film on my own, and rebuilding my portfolio to try to get either an internship without being a student, or to find a scholarship so I can go back to college for photography and break through that way. I am a natural light photographer, quite honestly I wouldn't know what to do with myself in a studio. Above all else, I want my photos to be genuine and interesting. My style is simple, with heavy emphasis on natural light, symmetry, emotion, and a cinematic dynamic. I am a photographer and will always be because I just can't function doing anything else.
Influences photojournalist aspects, noir films, documentaries, nature, 70s and 80s culture, poetry, music, traditional laws and observences of film photography, naturalism, alex mcqueen, calvin klein, minimalism, abstract art, drawing, the people around me, the streets, femme fatales, punk, philosophy, travel, fashion, design, horror fiilms, screen printing, it goes on and on.
