mau5trap record label, brainchild of the world famous electro/house producer deadmau5, has been home to some of the biggest electronic music from artists including Kaskade, Skrillex, Chris Lake and Wolfgang Gartner. In celebration of mau5trap's new monthly podcast launching in Summer 2012, artists are invited to submit their podcast sample that demonstrates their creativity and personality, together with a selection of mau5trap music (as provided). One winner will be selected as the host for mau5trap's new monthly podcast. Artists are not required to include the entire length of the tracks in their sample podcast, but must include sound beds, idents and sketches. mau5trap is looking for an artist who possesses originality and can best reflect the mau5trap label.
mau5trap's Choice
One winner will be named as the presenter for the monthly mau5trap podcast and will receive recording equipment to record each show. In addition, the winner will receive VIP tickets to a deadmau5 performance in North America or Europe (travel and two nights' accommodation will be provided).
One runner-up (as selected by mau5trap) will have their submission featured across mau5trap's social media channels. In addition, they will receive a podcasting kit and exclusive mau5trap merchandise, including t-shirts and mau5trap CDs.

The highest voted artist will have their submission featured across mau5trap's social media channels and will receive exclusive mau5trap merchandise, including t-shirts and mau5trap CDs.

Helpful Tips When Creating Your Submission
- Sound bed: A sound clip or segment from various forms of multimedia. Often referred to as a 'sample', for example sound effects, background music
- Ident: A tag which encompasses your name or personality, for example 'This is DJ Talenthouse'
- Sketch: An act of comedic bit/scene
How The Winner Will Be Chosen
mau5trap will choose the winner from all qualified submissions with special consideration for the top voted entries. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.
Guidelines
- Duration of mp3 submitted must be between 6-10 minutes
- Participants must use, at minimum, two tracks of mau5trap music (as provided below) as part of their example podcast
- Participants are not required to include the entire length of the tracks in their sample podcast: the tracks may fade in or fade out
- Participants must include sound beds, idents and sketches in their sample podcast
- Each podcast will be pre-recorded and edited by mau5trap Recordings prior to being aired
- Participants must not use music from any third party
- Submitted podcast must be in English
Official Rules
- Cash substitutions will not be provided in lieu of prizes
- The choice of any winning participant of this competition shall be strictly subject to such chosen winning participant entering into an agreement with mau5trap and subject to Talenthouse's standard terms and condition. Failure to enter into such an agreement with mau5trap may result in participants's disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner.
- The winner may be disqualified and a new winner selected if the original winner does not cooperate effectively with mau5trap
