About City Academy

City Academy is the London based performing and creative arts academy specialising in singing, acting, dancing, musical theatre, comedy, filmmaking, screen, writing, life skills classes and fitness dance classes for people from all walks of life. We have been featured on the BBC and Channel 4 and in The Times, The Telegraph, Evening Standard and Time Out.

Offering after-work evening classes, weekend and weekday courses for all ability levels, City Academy's team of expert teachers run inspiring, hands on classes in everything from Ballet to Bollywood, Screen Acting to Salsa and Choir to Comedy. These are run in some of London's most prestigious venues, including Sadler's Wells Theatre, the Dominion Theatre and Soho Theatre.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with the City Academy brand at a time when we are expanding our portfolio and studios. We would like to invite aspiring photographers to submit their best images portraying the creative arts.

One winner will be selected by the team at City Academy and will receive £500 along with a year’s worth of courses. They will also gain exposure on our website, blog and Facebook page (any photographs submitted may be used by City Academy across these platforms).

City Academy's Choice

The winning entry will receive:
• £500 cash prize
• A year’s worth of courses at City Academy. This means attending as many of our classes as you can fit in!
• The photograph will be featured on the City Academy website, blog and Facebook page

People's Choice

The three highest voted artists will receive exposure on City Academy's social media channels

How City Academy Will Choose

City Academy will select from all qualified submissions with special consideration for the top voted entries. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.

Guidelines

Photographs must be original (meaning not using third party copyright materials) but can be pre-existing or created especially for this opportunity
Include in your description the category your photograph(s) belong to
Entries must be submitted in JPEG format
Participants may submit 5 photographs in any category. Please indicate wich category in your description. Categories are: dance, singing, acting, filmmaking, musical theatre, photography, writing, comedy, communication and life skills
Please retain your original hi-res photographs in case you are selected as a winner. Photographs must be suitable for use as a landscape header on the City Academy website. The dimensions are 2000x539 pixels.
