About Matt Munn

I work mainly on my personal comic series Zed Reckoning.

Zed Reckoning is about a zombie named Zed who carries his soul around in a suitcase. Zed’s goal is simple; he’s trying to find a way to reunite his soul with his body. With the help (and sometimes hindrance) of an imp named Pixel, Zed is determined to become whole again. However, they are not the only ones interested in Zed’s soul.

Zed and Pixel are being hunted by an ancient race of spider-like beings and their legion of zombies. Under the orders of the necromancer, Baron Astor, they are to bring Zed’s soul back to Astor so he can finalize his heinous plot. Astor plans to use Zed’s soul to fuel a device known as the Soul Scorcher that will eradicate the souls of his enemies.
The process will turn them into controllable living zombies, and in turn, satisfies Astor’s need to dominate.

Zed’s soul is the key to spark the largest tragedy in the history of time. However, he is also the key to salvation. Unbeknownst to both Zed and Astor, Zed was bestowed with the power to use the ancient magic of an extinct race. Astor unknowingly gave this latent power to Zed when he altered the makeup of Zed’s soul in order to fuel the Soul Scorcher. Zed slowly begins to use these powers to help himself and he realizes that he is the only one who can stop Astor’s reign of evil across the land.

Bio I'm a cartoonist/illustrator located in Minneapolis Minnesota. Growing up with a healthy dose of action and horror movies, along with a double shot of comics, my is dream is to bring my cocktail of intense action/adventure to the masses.

In my free time I... well, I don’t have a lot of free time, but in any downtime I may have, I enjoy spending time with my dog Roscoe and friends and family. I also collect 50’s era decor and recently converted my art studio to resemble a Pirate ship. YAAR!
