I just try to show/share the beauty that is out there for all to see. The world is full of color and wonder and there is a picture waiting to be taken almost everywhere you look. I do my best to capture the beauty that is out there and bring it to those who might not be fortunate enough to travel around this great big and beautiful world.

Ort Vereinigte Staaten, CA, West Hollywood

Biografie After graduating from Syracuse University in 1996 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. Instead I found a home on the other side of the camera, enjoying five busy and rewarding years in the world of Reality TV casting. But in July of 2006 I was feeling a bit burned out, and more importantly, I wanted the opportunity to follow my passions. I decided to take a seven week trip to Africa to see if I had what it took to become a travel photographer. I spent 49 glorious days in eight countries throughout Southern and Eastern Africa, and returned to Los Angeles with an enormous excitement for life, a spring in my step, and an external hard drive full of pictures. After uploading them onto my computer, images I had seen only on my viewfinder sprang to life on my screen. As I sorted through thousands of moments, I realized that what I wanted most was to travel the world, to document what I saw, and to share it with others. If I could make my living by combining my two passions of travel and photography, I would be a lucky man. The photographs that accompanied me home from that magical seven week journey let me know that living my passions was possible.

But Africa can be a very addictive place, especially for someone who loves photography. And though my first trip to Africa had been my most influential and memorable photography experience, I felt like I had a little work still left to do. I was able to return to Africa in the spring of 2008, and spent seven months working as a tour leader based out of Kenya. My latest journey covered nine African countries; South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. Experiencing again this amazing continent, so full of beauty, color, and wonder, I discovered the philosophy that governs my work:

I believe there is beauty all around us and that there's a picture to be taken everywhere we look. It's just a matter of seeing that one beautiful moment amongst the many beautiful moments, and then \"stealing\" it for all to enjoy. That's what I try to do.

Here are some of my favorite shots that I took whilst there. If you want to see more please go to www.marcspix.com. Thanks
