Bio
Lully Guillotine was born in the capital of a Central European country, Hungary. Her parents wanted to enroll her in the
world of modeling, so she graduated from several modeling, acting and dance schools. Next to grade school, she worked
as a model, dancer and child actress until the age of 14, when she decided to quit. She never liked that superficial world,
she always thought she belonged behind the camera. Throughout her life, she always had the urge to express what was
inside of her and never wanted to live off of her appearance.
She started writing poems at the age of 9. These were mostly about nature and animals as they have always been very
close to her heart and always involved in her life. Now she is a vegetarian and an environmental and animal rights
activist.
When she turned 14, she read The Lord of the Flies by William Golding, which made her obsessed with the human soul.
She has been fascinated with this subject ever since. From then on, this subject has always been a part of her poetry.
Her other major topic was love. In addition to poems, she started to write short stories.
Her works were written mostly in English as she considers it her second mother tongue. Her poems were read by professional artists who were surprised by
the talent of such a young girl.
A publishing company wanted to publish her poems, but she refused, because she felt her writings were too personal.
In her teenage years, she started photographing and photo editing. She visualized her feelings and thoughts in her photography. The models were herself
and now husband, Adam Pastor. She perfected her skills in editing and this came very handy later on with the editing of her shorts and music videos.
She always adored movies and at the end of her teenage years, she realized her life purpose: to write and make movies. Her main interests stayed the same:
the human soul and mind, and love.
After graduating high school, she continued her studies at a local university as an English major. She studied film and media as well, but being an
independent learner, she didn’t learn anything new from her teachers, so just before graduation, she decided to drop out and dedicate her time to writing
moviemaking and self-study. She earned money as a medical news translator and a part-time journalist.
She wrote, directed and starred in her shorts and videos along with now husband, Adam Pastor. She was her own cinematographer, editor and production
designer. She used these experiences to develop her self-taught filmmaking skills.
The unanswered questions of human behavior are the main points of her art and to hold a clear mirror in front of her audience.
