What’s most important to me, is narrative. So whatever i create there will always be something a lot deeper going on. I like to think i make pictures that are nice to look at, that evoke something inside. I also create a mess, you should see my studio.....the words pig and stye spring to mind. Basically i just like ‘creating’.

Bio Louise has loved drawing for as long as she can remember. She lives in the beautiful county of Devon where she teaches and spends most of her time in her studio, drawing, painting, experimenting and researching.

Louise has always had a fascination for ‘art’ in its many guises and out of curiosity for books, decided to do an M.A. in Children’s Book Illustration at Anglia University. It was here she was Highly Commended in the MacMillan Prize and also awarded Best New Talent by Egmont Publishers.

Through concept and narrative, Louise likes to create new and interesting works that rest easy on the soul and evoke feelings, preferably good ones.

Louise likes to work in various mediums and different platforms, it is her dream to work on 9 and 3/4’s

Influences So many influences, they change from week to week but Louise has a love for the weird and bizarre, Dave McKean, Brian Froud and Tim Burton are up there on her list alongside some of the great masters.
