How Winner(s) Will Be Chosen

The host will choose the winner(s) from all qualified submissions with special consideration for the top voted entries. A qualified submission is one which meets all the Terms & Conditions, Guidelines and Official Rules.

Guidelines

• Designs must not require any leather or any other materials derived from animals for the finalised outfit, i.e. must be animal friendly
• Participants should retain their original artwork files but designs must be submitted in JPEG or PNG, Max Size 5MB.
• The winning design may be modified to accommodate production requirements
• Design must be original (meaning not using third party pre-existing copyright materials).

Official Rules

• Each entrant is free to enter into the competition and to license, grant and assign as applicable the required rights and waive the required rights;
• Each entrant has not entered and will not enter into any agreement whether directly or indirectly which would prevent them from entering the competition and/or which detract from and/or curtail the grant and/or assignment of rights required hereunder and/or render such grant and/or assignment invalid, void or voidable;
• The winner shall grant to Simco Limited (“Syco), its licensees and Leona Lewis (“Artist”) an irrevocable worldwide, royalty-free licence in perpetuity to use design submitted for the competition (the “Design Submissions”) and the dress based on the relevant Design Submission (and any images thereof) in promotional and publicity materials in connection with the competition, the X Factor and/or Artist by any means and in all media, (iv), the winner and runners-up may be required to (and will if so required) participate in promotional and publicity materials at the reasonable request of Syco;
• The winner shall only be entitled to use the photograph of Artist wearing the dress based on their Design Submission in their portfolio of work subject to such conditions as Syco may reasonably require and in such form and manner as Syco may first approve in writing;
• It is accepted and agreed by each entrant that Syco, Artist and/or their designees shall not be under any obligation to adopt all or part of any of the winning Design Submission and Syco, Artist and/or their designees shall be entitled in their absolute discretion to edit, adapt and alter the Design Submission or any part thereof in any way whatsoever and whilst Syco shall use reasonable endeavours to engage with the winner for the purposes of one (1) review when the Design Submission is being made, the winner shall waive any right to inspect or approve uses of the Design Submission or to be compensated / paid for any such uses.
