3-D Emotionally Charged Canvas art . I employ the use of clay,foam,wire (and pretty much anything else I can splatter on a canvas) to make my subject matter emerge from its background. I have also started my own clothing line that showcases some of my art . I watercolor.....kind of , and I attempt photography. Art is s part of my life , I live and breathe it.....and sometimes I poop it.

Biographie I'm Lace D (Lacy Davis). I am a lil piece of work myself . My arms , Ribs, ankles and wrists are a road map of my past. I used to self medicate by cutting myself . Self Mutilation was my coping skill that I used to "deal" with my parents divorce and my own shortcomings.Eventually I sought help and began journaling to vent my anger......when I couldn't express myself through words I began to scribble and sketch in my journal. My journal eventually turned into a sketchbook and a sketchbook into a painting . I learned to channel my rage into drawing and painting instead of carving into my skin.Alot of my most Beautiful work came out of an ugly me. Looking at my art is like peering into my soul and reading my personal biography. For a long time I hid my paintings so no one could see them but me .They were so personal and so ....well, me....me splattered across a white canvas vulnerable and naked.
I sometimes say that art saved my life ........because in a way it did . I was on a path to self destruction that was leading to suicide until I learned to channel my feelings into a paintbrush. Every piece I have created is a part of me, a heartbreak , a dream, a victory, a song of defeat....It's Me for everyone to see.
