I create objects and installations that contain and play off elements of American 'Better Living' with black humor. My recent works are created with pharmaceuticals as medium. Examples of this are pastry stands packed full of mixed pharmaceuticals, a pharmaceutical 'forest' of stalactites, stalagmites, and pillar columns, and a room made entirely of over 500,000 white aspirin including a fainting couch. I work to introduce social and political ideas and ideals, both criticizing and celebrating the inherent multi-faceted aspects and threads

Influencias I am provoked daily by the BBC, The News Hour, and The Economist. The potency of Flannery O'Conner's Southern Gothic style, along with many other writers, artists, directors weighs on my consciousness. Similarly to O'Connor, I need to share my love for the simultaneously tragic and hysterical. The gorgeous drama of the Baroque Bernini, the horrific and the beauty found in Odeon Redon's paintings, and the inner battles that Bourgeois has shared with us for a lifetime are some but not all of the many provocations for and in my work.
